Reading his thought on choosing playing style - Either go with a fast threatening striker who will run in behind, but sacrifice any decent hold up play for a high pressing striker OR Have a big strong striker to hold the ball up and let other run in behind him. Obviously the second option had been our style with Jason Scotland and Bony, where as id say the first was more appropriate with Borini,Graham and Michu. Gomis cannot hold up the ball, and is neither quick or instinctive enough to get in behind. Surely it's time to try Ayew up front ? Would off more intensity, pace and over all threat on goal. | |
