Serious question, I don't want a spat, but can the OP (or any other person) explain to me why there is a need or what is the purpose in inserting "Lol" in the title of this thread?
As I said I have not written this as a way to have a pop, or to start an argument. I am open to being educated in the usage of the word Lol and do not understand its use.

Is there a need to use it? Surely a reader would be able to make their own mind up about whether or not the title is sarcastic or not? Does it therefore show insecurities in the user? Does the use of it suggest that readers are of lesser intelligence and not able to detect the message given out by the chosen thread title?
