Maybe even Jenkins has taken notice of the incredulity amongst the support that he's even being considered, never mind actively pursued and knocked the move on the head?

Nobody thinks that we're going to spend £10m on a backup striker, but we can do better than David F*cking Ngog.

Spot on Doc - I'd rather David Blunkett for a start

Could one of the positive glass overflowing brigade explain as to what our club sees in Ngog

Apparently it's early discussions but it's for a loan until the end of the season. I don't really mind if that's the case. The last thing we need is another Lita on our hands where we pay up to £2m and he's stuck with us for 3 seasons going on loan from club to club.

I think Bolton are paying him 35k per week so need him off the wage bill. We won't pay that for a 2nd/3rd choice striker so we'd probably pay 50-75% wages? Guessing here, of course. Helps Bolton out and we have some cover up front. His contract is up in the summer. If he fits in and does well then who knows?

Can't believe he's only 24! Cheap option but it wasn't ever going to be anything other than that, IMO.

Genetically, paedophiles have more genes in common with crabs than they do with you and me. Now that is scientific fact. There's no real evidence for it, but it is scientific fact.

an extra body who has experience of the premier league and has more chance of nicking a goal if needed than vazquez. Could be another Shelvey, uproar when we signed him but came in and has been integrel to our team (clutching at very small straws here)

as long as it is a loan i am not really bothered about the signing, he is an extra body, can play a bit and as we have so often done maybe we can kick start his career, he will probably have limited game time anyway

I'm not being funny, but when a club like Hull are signing Jelavic and Shane Long and we're signing Ngog you can be forgiven for worrying about our premier league future...

why not le fondre who is proven... holds the record of most prem goals in a season... better than solksjaer's record...

Poll: Some scummer on the anus board reckons 80% of us want them to go down. so... do

Exactly this.

Simple fact is that in the midst of a possible relegation battle we're seriously considering a striker who can barely hold down a place in a Championship side. I know we've got a reputation for rehabiliting players cast aside elsewhere but even Jesus would have a job resurrecting Ngog's career.

Serious questions need to be asked about how our recruiting system goes about it's business, because as far as I can tell Leadbeater scouts players with a blindfold, a pin and a copy of Rothmans.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

we haven't got 7m a piece to sign Long or Jelavic and Le fFondre would proably cost over 5m, get in the real world.

Kevin Phillips

I've seen people get really worked up about this saying we're nailed on for relegation. Those need to have a word with themselves. Do people forget we have a striker who's scoring goals? He'll do well to start games but he's a better option than Vasquez.

With players starting to come back over the next week or so we'll be fine on numbers.

Before you all give yourself an injury going mental, with any luck Bony will play the full 90 up front for all remaining league games and Ngog (or any other striker we bring in) won't see the light of day. This is just a short-term solution to have someone with some Premiership experience and goals at this level to have on the bench just in case.

We'd all love better but I'm sure we're very limited in what we can do in this window - no major striker will want to come as they know Bony is no1 in a 1 up-front system, talented loanees want game time, we can't offer that.

I'm afraid that's all I can really offer in a positive sense........he's better than nothing..

Enjoying the next level

exactly, we play 1 up front and that one is Bony, back up will be Michu in a few weeks time, so why would we spend 6/7m on another striker??
