I knew Steve when he was just breaking in to the team whilst at Prices school in Fareham. He was best mates with a friend of mine’s brother. He was a really nice guy back then and I have no reason to think he’s changed. Hope he recovers soon |

I believe it used to be the case that any English player with a criminal conviction would not be selected for the country (or the "Three Lions" as the press now like call England - aka pretentious fvuckwittery). This loosened I think, when the likes of Tony Adams were "forgiven" out of expediency.
Bottom line for me though, is that I would not want a convicted rapist representing England or GB. I suppose you could argue different treatment for so called lesser crimes, but I'd say a custodial sentence should be terminal in terms of international participation. |

If we try the tippy tappy bollocks in the penalty area like we did last season we’ll get our arses handed to us big time. Is Martin flexible enough to adapt quickly? I’m not convinced. So, sadly relegation beckons I fear. |

Spurs, I could understand (he does support them after all) but I suspect West Ham might struggle a little bit next season. It would be sad if he leaves as he has been great for us and comes across a good bloke too. |

The counter argument being that if he weren't there, what would he be thinking about? We don't know how difficult the first two births might have been (and not all births go smoothly) and therefore would he be focused properly if he stayed?
The fact is there is no right or wrong answer here. Surely it depends on the individual that player and how the 'person with a womb' (or whatever pc bollocks the NHS would use) aka 'the woman' feels... |

I'm sorry, I couldn't read all of that, but the "awful 14 years" is unreasonable - no one could have coped with the cataclysms of Covid and Ukraine and I wouldn't hold that against whoever had been in power.
I just hope the next 5 years don't have a repeat of that kind of hellish shit for whoever might be at the helm. |

Thanks - I hear what you say, but is it irrational to worry about the treatment of girls, women, gays and trans etc when these groups are evidently treated differently by so many adherents of this religion? Is it really political or even irrational to worry about people being thrown off buildings for their sexuality?
Also, doesn't the phrase "British people" include ethnic minorities as well? |

I agree with most of that, but players should remember when they kiss the badge and pledge themselves to the club etc that fans will be pissed off when they show scant loyalty 5 minutes later.
That said, unless a player has been a real moron (as in Charlie Austin's post SFC comments) I'd welcome many back, including Lallana. |
