If ever you need an indicator of what we're like as a species, despite the Armistice coming into effect, men were still being killed after it!
Spent a lot of time in the presence of men who lost limbs in both WWs and other conflicts. Its not just the stupidity and egos of politicians that lead them to the front lines, it's often what they were left to face after they came home that's as repugnant. Alas, we seem to be in a similar phase of stupid and egotistical politicians leading us to something big.

Unhealthy relationship? I don't think that's true, especially given we've had two big conflicts dominating the news for the past year, all the politics programmes at the weekend were focussing on why we need to increase defence spending in the light of the world becoming a more dangerous place, and the Americans have just decided to let themselves down by electing a President who is quite happy, he says, to leave the Europeans to their own devices militarily, which has many of the countries bordering Russia looking nervously over their shoulders.
