Individually we have a worse bunch of players now than when we got relegated 2 years ago.
The board have stated that they still support the Manager, how can they say that considering where we are in the lge & the insipid performances we are delivering.
If they genuinely believe in this Manager then we are in real trouble, if they stick with him we will end up in Division one. |  | | |  |

The players are better than 2 years ago. Many are the same people but Ramsdale, Fernandes, THB, Suga and Downes are improvements. Personally I'd say Archer too, it's just that he's being used in the wrong way. Only Lavia and JWP are missed and neither of them were consistently performing at the top level that season.
We have the players to compete in this league, or at the very least to go down fighting. What we don't have is a proper manager. Selles was awful and clueless. Martin is the same and tries to play in much the same way as Selles. He belongs in League 1 with Selles. It was the managers that were mostly to blame for our pathetic performance in 22/23 and the same is true today. Even with a decent manager we'd be bottom half, but we'd be competing and have a decent chance of survival. | | | |

It’s totally bewildering and completely wrong to persist with a manager who cannot get results

Who did we have in 22/23 that is better than THB?
Perraud was no better than Taylor and worse than KWP when he plays on the left with Suga on the right.
Alcaraz and Fernandes are different players. Fernandes has a much better all round game. Alcaraz had promise for the future but never really delivered. Fernandes delivers consistently.
Dibling will deliver more this season than Stu did.
If Che Adams was the answer then God only knows what the questions was. He was a constant let down. Archer is a better player but needs to be used properly. | | | |

You're right, he talks bollux, but actually in this and other interviews he FINALLY said some things that are true:
"We can't just turn up and fight. The club is not built on that, the team is not built on that, we haven't recruited to do that, we haven't got the physicality to do that.
"When you see the moments of transition today, it's not really our forte. The team builds up to get to the final third."
In translation: we don't have physical players and we don't look to play counter attack, we only get to the other end slowly.
Finally he's hit on 2 of our big problems, but the problem is these are entirely due to his own choices. He chose not to prioritise a physical centre forward that we could play up to and he chooses that we prioritise possession and move the ball slowly.
You can almost hear his brain starting to work. Maybe soon he'll have the thought "...how about if we move the ball forward quicker?!?"
In another interview he said "we spend so much time in the final third, we should get more from that". Maybe one day he'll realise that the reason we don't score is BECAUSE we spend so much time in the final third. If we played on the counter attack we'd score a lot more. [Post edited 10 Nov 15:24]
