Credit to Newcastle, and to Eddie Howe in particular. They were organized, incisive on the break and most importantly lethal in front of goal. But, if one or both of the chances faffed away by Moi and Che had gone in at 0-1 down, that could have easily changed the story line. We were not so great in defence today, though Perraud was OK and showed the rest how to score. Good to see Lavia back, though he was understandably quiet. Stuey and Moi made some good runs. Not much else to be positive about. Surprised to see Theo on at the start - it did not work. He is too lightweight these days and there was no linkage with the rest of the attack. Ah well, we enter a new era now … ever hopeful for an upturn in fortunes!

Boring game. Toothless as usual yet should have levelled at least. Goals change games this was another case of this. Any future manager will suffer the same fate as Ralph if players can’t hit the net. Walcott totally useless added nothing as normal like playing with 10 players from the start. Ralph deserved the chop just for playing Walcott showed he had no clue of his starting team ever.
