Saints V Newcastle United Player Ratings Results Monday, 15th Sep 2014 15:28 Here are the results of the player rating from members of the Ugly Inside website for the great win over Newcastle United. Im perhaps a little surprised at how low the ratings actually are for a game that Saints played so well in and won in convincing style. For instance Fraser Forster who had little to do in most of the match still got a better rating than Ryan Bertrand who capped a fine performance with an assist for the opener. Shane Long's contributions to the early part of the game seem to have clearly been overlooked where he nearly opened the scoring and his running caused all sorts of problems including where he should have had a penalty, this probably has been overlooked a little, certainly in my mind he deserved slightly more than th3 6.7 average. But it was good to see Graziano Pelle winning the vote overall, last home game saw him being pilloried and receiving only 4.4 in the rankings yet this time he has almost doubled that, what a difference a game or two makes and come to that a goal or three.
