Coleman fancies Bury hotseat Monday, 14th Oct 2013 19:08 by Col Former Dale boss John Coleman has put his name forward for the vacant Bury job just hours after the controversial sacking of Kevin Blackwell. Coleman was a guest on both BBC Look North West and then the Radio Manchester Football Hour, and he used his appearance on both shows to put his name forward for the Gigg Lane position. He referred to his time at Dale, admitting that he had made a couple of mistakes and he had learned from his time at Spotland and would be a better manager as a result of that. Amongst his mistakes was believing that there was no money at Spotland after having been told there was no money, Keith Hill was then allowed to sign nine players. His candidacy was backed by another former Dale manager Steve Eyre who was the main guest in the Radio studios. Coleman is currently 18-1 for the job.
