Dan Seaborne To Go Out On Loan Thursday, 27th Sep 2012 13:35 Dan Seaborne looks set to go out on loan with first team opportunities limited at St Mary's It doesnt take a qualified UEFA Coach to recognise that Dan Seaborne hasnt had much game time as of late, indeed with only two appearances in the Capital One Cup to his name this season its now been over a year since he has played League football for Saints. Of course thats been in the main due to his horrific injuries suffered in a nightclub incident, but the writing was already on the wall for him before that, he struggled to get a game in League 1, starting only 10 games in our promotion season from that division, would definately have struggled in the Championship to get much more game time and to be blunt isnt a Premiership quality central defender. his being the case its likely that Saints will look to move him out on loan to clear the decks for another centre half to come in during the January transfer window. Clubs that have been rumoured to be showing an interest in him, include Nottingham Forest who are fast becoming a home for ex Saints players and Millwall and regular football would of course be an attraction for Seaborne. Only stumbling block could be the fact that it would leave Saints short in the central defensive department with only Fonte,Hooiveld and Yoshida dedicated centre backs, however both Fox and Richardson could do stand in jobs if required so that may persuade Saints to let the ex Exeter man out on loan. Certainly Seaborne would be an attractive loan signing in that he can also play at full back if required, hence the interest from Championship clubs.
