I was never a massive fan of Prince's music - I was a bit of a music snob and always felt it was a bit too commercial. In university one of my flatmates was a big guitar player - he was into zeppelin, metallica, etc. I remember one night listening to him play and asking him who he thought the best guitar player was. I was shocked when he answered Prince. At the time I just didn't he even played his own instruments.
Fast forward 15 years later (last year) when he was playing his surprise gigs around London and I luckily get tickets for one of his Roundhouse shows. I was utterly blown away. It is an amazing experience when you see someone that gifted doing what they were born to do. I've seen pretty much everyone live and I put him at the top in terms of live performers. That man was blessed and those that got to experience him in person were even more blessed.

We're just going to have to disagree on this one. His price per output is not what we need right now.
I was one of the guys that constantly defended Adel's lack of effort or professionalism because of his pure talent. It's not the same debate with Matt Phillips... |

I'm not questioning his legs, goals or assists. I'm questioning his attitude and heart.
He does not seem to try or care. I'd rather have another Mackie with less goals or assists but triple the effort. |

He shows no effort. He does nothing unless he has the ball at his feet, and even then, most of the time he does nothing with it.
He thought he was going in the last window and has shown zero effort since he stayed.
A good specimen with some talent, but unfortunately, we will see nothing of it at QPR.
He is the last of the overpaid/lack of effort players we have left. Sell him at first chance, even at a loss. |

Yes, I think we are improving...
- Most of the overpaid/lack of effort/dead wood are out of the club
- We are financially more sound
- We have a solid young manager on a sensible contract
- The team has been getting better throughout the season
Most of all, I am finally enjoying the games again. The past few seasons I found it difficult at times to root for some of the players out there. Porter may not have the best first touch but he works his socks off. Smithies looks great. Chery is a good signing, Most importantly, I feel like most of those players are extremley happy to be out there and give there all (ex-Phillips). |

He was immense in this game. Forgot how good he played in that lone striker position.
Such a shame how he has handled his career. What a waste of talent.
And as someone said later on in this thread, we had some attacking players and had to watch our hoof ball to Bobby Z game plan all season. |

It was a bit of a no win situation. Not sure I would have been happy paying up a ton for someone that would only want to leave if we got relegated. I'm not sure if I would have been happy with Sherwood and it seemed he was trying to squeeze us for more cash.
We are going down. At least now we can can get someone in that can build properly and is actually up for that particular challenge. |

Agree with OP. Was thinking if like to see those three working together at the match yesterday.
I'm resigned to going down. I just want a bit of entertaining football for the rest of the year.

God, we look awful.
We've barely put three passes together.
I haven't seen Fer run through any brick walls yet.
Is Adel even on the bench. Can we bring back Diakite and play him, at least it will be entertaining and a few laughs as he tries to decapitate people.

This is truly cringeworthy..What a joke.
He was fit enough to come on versus Burley...and fit enough to be put on the roster as a sub versus Man U.
Harry isn't mentally fit, that is our problem. He probably forgot that he was available, that's the only thing that could explain the Niko substitution. Moron. |

I think this is a tad harsh on Vargas. He has been playing out of position. At least the guy gives some effort. He's a good player that has lost some confidence.
I'd like to see a few games with him up front with Austin and Adel playing behind them. Drop Fer. Then let's judge. |
