what do you think "local" pubs are already doing .....many show sports most nights to attract trade This pipe dream would never survive.....as has already been said stalwart Landore pub such as the Wern what closed....a new venture wouldn't survive. Whilst it.might do ok on a match day it would be deserted the rest of the time...or would not attract a large enough crowd to make it viable |

Chelsea could have been 4 up even before the red card. Southampton were lucky it wasn't 7 or 8 Chelsea had their chances. Amazing after what 5 seasons as a manager he still can't organise a defence......amazing given he was a defender as a player. Bu |

that's a different story. His arrogance and stubbornness cost us..... He knew getting results against them upbthe road would buy him kudos and then we the fans would forgive him the rest. Why didn't he adopt the tactics and set up he used in that end of season run sooner....maybe after 10 games in that 21 game run? I |

the man took the p**s out of us...... so many fans idolise him for those 4 games against a poor Cardiff. Why didn't he give the other 84 games under his stewardship as much focus. Let's jot forget that run of 21 games with how many wins? His crying of no support in the transfer window and then after Kaplan has a word in his ear we went on that winning run at the end of the season when he ditched his philosophy to get himself a job .....using rhe same players he had had all along....had he played that way earlier he may have got us in the play offs. As I said he extracted the urine out if us fans and knew by getting thise results against them up the road ...many would hold him high as they still do....football fans eh |

Please get your facts right..... In 2015 the Trust were not happy to sell to the John Moores consortium after doing some due diligence. As a result the other shareholders then omitted the majority shareholder ie the Trust from further sales discussions before it was too late. Phil Sumbler is on record to say that there were open to negotiations at that time but was not contacted and you seem to forget that Jason himself made the admission that Huw et al had told them to disregard and ignore the Trust. Please let it rest the Trust as it was is dead it's a supportes club now created by those that followed the board that had the true ideals of the Trust .....we are now entering a new phase of ownership let's stop bringing up events of 8 years ago stop looking back and let's look forwards |
| Forum Reply | Swansea City turn the tables on their bad luck & beat Derby at 11:53 28 Nov 2024
Good wll written piece as to your question at the end ....who knows thos os football....for once the football gods were smiling on us. Yes we made mistakes how much of this was a result of tiredness form Sundays 96 minutes against Leeds where the ream ran their legs off and worked hard to try to get a result. Yes we surrendered a lead in that game and gave away a draw ....but at least we were trying. who knows why we end up making so many mistakes , is it ability?, confidence?, tactics? What would we be saying if we had controlled possesion kept the ball yet lost to a breakaway or silly goal as we have seen several times this season? At the end of the day we won .....sometimes it doesnt matter how....especially when wins have been few and far between. Once again thank you for a good report and making that journey on a crap midweek night . Keep it up Liam....your reports stimulate discussion whilst being on the nail |

Because I am not discussing the review purely the posts on here during the game .....and my psot where I offered my opinion how it seems some of our fan base seem to revel in us being under the cosh and moght prefer us to lose so they can continue to post negativity. Its always amazing how the tmatch day threads seem pages longer when we lose compared to when we win. |

Thats the point I was making earlier some on here just want to be negative no matter what. Despite us getting a win away at a club who have only lost once at home after we had gone toe to toe with top of the table Leeds for 96 minutes folks still are moaning. Despite the "control" we had in that first 20 mins Derby still managed forays into our penalty area creating chances before we scored the second goal. Yes it was backs to the wall stuff for a lot of the game but for once things went in our favour. Depsite all that "pressure" from Derby for 60 minutes they only managed to score from a penalty. Despite folks moaning about the poor quality if the squad and the not so great summer transfer window we find ourselves 11th We should have got something from the Burnley game , Leeds too and whilst we lost we lost tryting to win itnot settling for the draw.....hindsight eh I dont understand the amount of negativity that exists even when we are winning ...... We are still in the Championship we have gone trhough managerial upheaveal seen a constant reduction in the quality of our squad season on season.....yet we are still in the toughest league and competing. |

The Leeds player just clattered into Ronald no attempt to look for the ball directly in front of the ref. Leeds were cynical and dirty all game got away with murder and won several free kicks themselves through simulation. I suspect Hackett is a closet Leeds fan....sour grapes perhaps... |

our managers can't win. Cooper was critiscised for "dull" football protecting one goal leads, off late Williams has come under fire for being safe and not attacking so when he does and despite us scoring more goals in one game than the last 4 put together he gets hammered for notnsettling for the point. |

a bit like moving Leon Britton who had spent his career as a winger converting to defensive midfield? |
