Oh, it's Eu again - Preview

Cracking read that Clive.

I was really confident of a win tonight but now after reading Derby's away record I am bloody terrified.

That old Chinese proverb is never far away:

"Team on bad run always look for QPR on fixture list"

In the blue corner – Report
at 09:56 13 Feb 2025

Thanks Clive spot on as always.

I've still got the bang needle this morning with the outcome. Mainly because of our 3 corners in stoppage time and Paal letting the ball go out for a throw which started the chain of events that led to their goal.

Anyway we are still 11 points off relegation and a big Friday night game under the lights to come this week. I would love to put a nail in Derby's coffin Friday especially after our pathetic performance up their place earlier this season.

At my age it should not be the case that my moods are so attached to this bloody football club.......My poor wife suffers every time.....and she doesn't even get to go out this Valentines evening because of it.....

Did Nardi Cost us the point?
at 14:46 12 Feb 2025

Nardi sat down because Coventry changed their shape half way through the second half so allowed Marti to get his counter shape message across to the players. For me he is the best keeper we have had since Smithies. Dare I say it Premier League standard. I think we will get a big offer for him in the summer.

Agree on Paal and Chair - Dead balls are very poor and Chair continues to frustrate me. We need more from him especially in that position seems like he playing with the handbrake on.

Consistently inconsistent
at 10:02 12 Feb 2025

A point would have been a fantastic result and we definitely deserved a point on the balance of our play all evening.

That late goal gave me the bang needle - I had to go into the garden with the dog afterwards to calm down. Haven't slept well either.

This bloody football club............

A meeting of the Championship's two great recoveries - Preview
at 14:27 11 Feb 2025

Great insight thanks Clive.

Personally I would bring Varane back in and put Chair on the bench for tonight's away game. However on Friday I would start Chair in the 10 role and put Varane or Field on the bench.

There is something very iconic with Queens Park beating Rangers.

The hand of fortune – Report

Great report thank you Andrew - Really enjoyed reading that.

A cracking game under the lights and I thought we were really good across the team which had a lovely balance to it. Be interesting to see if Marti sticks with that starting eleven or decides Varane will give us more protection away from home.

I also thought the Ref had a good game and it's a much better spectacle when they allow the game to flow and not want to be the "star of the show" blowing for every minor technical contact.

Can someone also let me know the words of the new Varane song too.

At Millwall I seemed to be the silly Dad not knowing the words..........

Subs last night....
at 07:33 5 Feb 2025

I thought on the whole they were great again and changed the game back into our favour especially the Colback sub.

Big discussion in the car on the way home was would it of been better bring Kolli on instead of Lloyd. Kolli seems to be better at keeping possession and the patten of the game was more suited to him especially at home on a tighter pitch. Lloyd could be better away from home on bigger pitches where there is more space to run behind.

Be good to hear other thoughts on this - It's great having these options as they all seem to give you something different depending on the situation.

Vale lifted on QPR’s risky recruit – Signing

Thanks Chaps - Good info there.

Signing an injured player who is out for the rest of the season is just so QPR.

Please never change my wonderful club!!

Dunne off?
at 07:28 4 Feb 2025

I hope Dunne does now sign a long contract - He can still get a move (with a trigger of lets say £5M in the terms of which he will get a percentage) He will get an immediate pay rise and everyone's happy.

I like to think this was plan B which Norry and Dunne had already agreed to should Sheff Utd not meet our asking price.

Dunne-less Rangers downed at The Den – Report
at 10:40 3 Feb 2025

Thanks Clive great report - It was a rip roaring London Derby which as you say we probably deserved a point from for the second half performance.

Chair still miles of it and looks unfit and our and left hand side remains our achilles heel. Opposition teams know that and target that area.

I think Edwards would be more than able to fill in the Right Back slot should Jimmy head up north today.

Need to get something now Tuesday night to calm everyones nerves.

Top Draw Clive - Marti should make sure the players read this to fully understand the great lengths and pain suffered by our loyal fans making these long journeys.

The London Pride in the C&S used to be the best under the old landlord. Definitely not quite the same since. He kept a fantastic celar.

Millwall away virgin
at 12:22 28 Jan 2025

My 16 year old daughters coming with me too - We will head to Borough Market first have some food and drinks then get on the train at London bridge to South Bermondsey (1 stop). From the station it is a walkway for away fans straight to the away end. You hardly see any Millwall fans.

We may get kept in for 20 minutes after the game but it's no bother especially if we have the 3 points in our back pocket.

It's a great away day - I'm sure she will love it.

Owls not impressed with the school end
at 10:08 27 Jan 2025

Yes we know its cramped etc - But we must of had a safety certificate otherwise we could not open the stand. The exit for the top tier is via SAR but in an emergency we could also allow fans to leave via Ellerslie Road (as per the bottom tier for Home fans) so that probably allows us to continue to operate.

If only we could purchase the school it would open up so many more opportunities for ground improvements. Chris Wright missed a trick there.

Sun sets on QPR’s winning run as Rohl triumphs once more – Report
at 08:26 27 Jan 2025

Thanks Clive - Not much else to add they were organised (looked fitter than us) and come and done a classic away job on us. I agree out of the midfield area Varane was the last one we should of taken off. He looked okay while Morgan and Field looked leggy. It also opened up that area of the pitch for Sheff Wed.

Never mind we take it on the chin and we now have a full week to recover and prepare for next weekends London Derby.
