I left Rochdale 25 + years ago but still have family in the town. I probably get to about 10 games a year. Club is in my bones, always will be, used to walk up to the ground as a 9 yr old - was hooked first time I went.
I am genuinely worried about the state of the club. Things need to change. The club clearly needs a new start in the boardroom and it needs investment.
I think there is an opportunity for a group of fans (the more the better) to step up here and fill the void. Buying a significant chunk of the shares or even buying the club is not a complete pipedream.
I am serious on this. And happy to stick a good chunk of money in. DM me if you would like to discuss. If anyone from the Trust is reading this and would like to have a chat let me know.
impressive on that volunteering scheme interesting info in the last two posts i agree unlikely to be able to raise money on that level but there are other options out there like TIFOSY who Vialli is involved with
AFC wimbledon have raised £2M through crowdfunding. https://www.seedrs.com/afcwimbledon Valuation circa £19M - makes me wonder what our valuation is considering we own the ground (I know shares are only worth what people are willing to pay)
Dale should consider a similar route for fundraising perhaps. Target could match cost of training ground. I know I would be happy to put a few quid in, in return for some shares.
According to BBM on official site - he has gone back to Blackburn injured. Does that mean we still pay whatever wages we agreed with them whilst on loan? Also leaves us very thin.
Agree on seeing some of the youngsters come through, that would be great. Been watching dale since 79. Never thought we would ever manage 6 seasons in division 3.
I think it is time for Andrew to move on. We saw from Wilbraham's performances after BBM took charge what he can offer (should he sign). We do not need both of them.
Camps is intriguing. From what I see of him he has all the ability but not enough of an engine to play higher - runs out of gas in the last quarter.
Agree on Gillam, not developed - move him on and give the youth team players recently given a contract a go.
Budget key to decisions -
Fair play to Rochdale for publishing detailed accounts for 1st time. Income up 23% but still low by League 1 stds. Shame that other clubs such as #Posh use a legal loophole to avoid showing key figures, poor transparency & lack of corporate social responsibility #Dalepic.twitter.com/BI3frnL0k0
The stats suggest that we need more incisiveness from midfield - 2nd in division possession but create little -

200 ahead of this point last year is good news. be great if we could push near to 3000. does feel as though season ticket sales are creeping up each year.
