Target man on loan?
at 10:38 11 Feb 2025

Absolutely agree we should be in the market for someone like this, some prime examples of when teams have come here and the one target man alone has done a job on us and influenced their side to get a result.

Inih Effiong for Dagenham, now at Woking.

Levi Amantchi who came off the Bench for Bromley in the cup game, scored one and set one up, recently moved to Walsall.

Mike Fondop of course.

These are the big players you need in this league. Jim just won't get on board with it I don't think, rather just using the stats method of recruitment.

Ask Mk Dons or Carlisle fans about him, he was awful at both clubs. It'd only be more of the same as we are seeing under Jim.

Awful at both MK and Carlisle, no thanks. Jim isn't going anywhere under the current set up. They seem very happy with him despite regular performances of a poor nature. Buckle up!

York Match
at 14:14 9 Jan 2025

I'd say there's little to no chance of this game going ahead. Since our last postponement when the pitch was waterlogged, we have had lots of snow, which then begun to thaw, then even more snow, and freezing temperatures for the last few days and overnight freezing temperatures through until Monday. I think it'll be a miracle if we see a home game before February unless we get a long spell of dry / mild weather.

So I wonder, has the club either borrowed / loaned in or purchased some full rain covers yet? If not, why not?

Has the club been in touch with other local clubs ahead of a likely postponement for the York game, to see if we can use their stadium? I hate to suggest it, but contacting Bury FC to use Gigg Lane would be the most common sense option. Their pitch is 3g too so not much risk of a postponement, and can accommodate us and York fans without any issues.

The planned pitch works won't be able to take place until the surface is completely free of any frost, which I don't think will be any time soon due to the weather forecast.

Hopefully it's a rip up and start again project in Summer.

Beware the Town!

I can't help but think with the amount of rain that will have been on the pitch / within the ground as the freezing weather came in yesterday, that this game is a cert to be off. Really hope it's on!

AGM Tuesday.
at 15:38 10 Dec 2024

Yet again, I've had no contact from the club regarding the upcoming AGM, I am a shareholder and previously emailed the 'shares' email address to get this sorted but nothing has happened yet.

Ticket office not answering the phones
at 12:01 22 Nov 2024

According to several people on twitter, sandy lane tickets are showing as sold out / unable to add to basket online, then someone said when they've gone to the ground they were able to buy one. Some things certainly need improvement, especially ahead of what will be the highest attended home fixture all season, It should be easier than this for supporters to attain a ticket.

Dale Trust Meeting With WSH LLC
at 11:10 14 Mar 2024

There has been some talk floating about of SG staying on if this deal goes through, which would be disastrous, not only for the future of the club, but also will continue to divide the fan base, if they won't actually be running the club, let's hope and pray it's not who has been running it into the ground for the last few years. This article on the meeting gives me very little confidence.

The Flare incident
at 12:06 21 Sep 2022

Hi Ben, I know you say it's nothing to do with your group, but last night they set the flare off and then were verbally abusing stewards who were asking them to behave, and also sang a very clear rendition of .. 'overcoaters, we'll do what we want', so whether you like it or not it has now become something to do with the group.

The overcoater group is great and i love the extra atmosphere and the thinking behind it, but there are a lot of idiots in the mix in there too, an issue which needs nipping in the bud somehow. Up the Dale!
