Actually was at snooker tournament in the 80s with a mate and ahead were two players and their manager walking towards us.
Didn't realise how loud I said it but said to my friend,
"Oh look there's Tony Meo."

Bit unkind to dig out players when we are doing so well.
Am sure both Celar and Madsen would like to achieve here but for whatever reason both have seemed somewhere else when playing but let's focus on the positives perhaps.
We have so much depth that unless there are a lot of injuries coming up, can't see either featuring but no need to dig out players at the moment.... |

End of November we were adrift at the bottom.
It's actually converting the draws into wins that has made the difference.

The cliche fits
One game at a time and see where it takes us.
The great thing is we have a squad of players that nearly all are capable of doing a decent show.
Strength in depth.
Not words heard uttered much in Shepherds Bush in recent seasons. |

Southampton are having a horrendous season at the back and they have not picked Edwards at all.
Hard to understand that.
On that display he is premier league standard class now.
Unfortunately he will only be here for this season.
Looks like a future international to me.
Some were peed, we got him in on loan when we grooming him for rivals next season perhaps and keeping out our own players, but to get this guy in, was an excellent piece of business.
Yep shades of Roeder and Fenwick with the gliding out of defence and through the midfield.

Very positive team with Saito Chair Smyth and Morgan behind Frey.

Yes I could see this happening, but even half decent displays, and he is pushing for a place on the bench at Spurs, and in particular with how poor, that they have been, so far this season. |

Can't help thinking this was all engineered.
Was increasingly apparent as time wore on, that there was to be an improved contract signed, and announced tonight, before the game.
All the hullabaloo with Sheffield United, but can't help but assume that, it was all, a lot of hot air !!!
It's been a pain in the butt, however the right outcome prevails !!!

I think the selling point is his name.
I expect sexy football from the outset. A few thirty yards swirlers from set pieces , underside of cross bar and step overs and rabonas in evidence. |

We totally screwed Bristol City over with Sinclair.
A player who has appeared to have a high ceiling, only to prove to be disappointingly mediocre.
And apparently we did not want to sell him, but £2.5million for him was vastly overpriced sale.
And didn't Pompey give us £1 million plus for Dozzell. Genius sale... [Post edited 4 Feb 0:00]

Very much agree.
None of this was against Dunne at all.
If anyone says he is going to get stick from Rangers fans is dreadful. Our player of the season getting stick from the fans and as said he has had horrendous family news only recently and performed well and above his station.
The club have allowed this and it did always seem his new deal to be announced prior to Blackburn. I expect him to be playing.
My view is he had already signed a new deal some time ago. The announcement is so obvious pre planned. But saying he was injured and uncertain to be here, it's the hierarchy that seem to have acted poorly here.
That's what I thought from the outset, then seeing so many fans saying he was on his way, well if that had happened the backlash would have been unpleasant for the powers that be IMHO.....

You misread my post. By me saying Luongo not fitting the model now, I did not mean the type of player he could be within our formation, it was more along the lines of being 33 and not young and up and coming and even coming from a premiership club currently, his wages would not fit in either for himself either.
That was my suggestion, why there would have been zero chance for ourselves to signing Luongo. |
