The Western Arms was on Kensal Road a short walk from the the Narrow Boat. The beer wasn't great in the Western but it was used by many QPR supporters but not me apart from that game that we don't mention where we met in there at 09.00 in the morning and somehow walked to Wembley.Loads in there that day, ended up after the game in the Lads of the Village.

It was called the Cowshed because it used to a 'knocking shop'.I much preferred the Narrow Boat across the road which was a Fullers house.

Well everybody knows down in Ladbroke Grove
you have to leap across the street
you can lose your life under a taxi cab
you've got to have eyes on your feet

One Man Band
Leo Sayer

My Great Grandmother died in a traffic accident on Ladbroke Grove, before my time.

I always remember him as a player who kept things simple but did it well and made the game look easy.Still got his autograph on an old programme.

Somebody up there likes me.A film based on the life of Rocky Graziano who was a middleweight boxer, it starred a very young Paul Newman.Much better movie than Raging Bull.

Professional football is a cruel game, all clubs sling young lads out.The rewards are there if you make it but most don't.Joe Gubbins is now playing in the National league with Southend
this time last year he played a few games in our first team.
