Fair enough. Johanson is four years younger and a Swedish international. However he cost a reported ยฃ1 million and I suspect he is on a much higher wage. Not sure he plays much with his feet. Think he might be at a higher level if he did. |

If you're trying to tell us Burgervic was better than Nardi then.......mmm! It was our defending that got us the clean sheets last season. It's a bit like when we won through the playoffs. It was in spite of Redknapp not because of him. Yes Nardi seems a bit quiet. Coming for crosses isn't his strength and he mainly lets the defenders deal with them. There have been signs of improvement in this area recently but on the whole, I would rather he stayed at home than come, miss and leave the goal empty. There are some big bastards in this league and its very difficult for keepers to come and claim crosses. There are many keepers getting 'done' in this way and I don't think Begovic was much better at this aspect. If as you say Nardi is Marti's choice, it's because he is so much better with his feet. As for Steve Cook, for all his experience and very good defensive play, his passing has been very inconsistent and costing us possession and his instant on field reaction to blame everyone but himself, isn't good for morale and contrasts with his view in post match interviews where he adopts a more conciliatory tone. Maybe but what about all the mistakes that cost us points and almost sent us down? |

Sad news. They were both excellent actors. She was brilliant as Basil's wife in Fawlty Towers and I loved his portrayal of Edward VII in the ITV series of the 70s. Would love to see that again. |

Agree it's way to early to judge. I didn't see much to admire until his appearance of the bench in the Burnley game. I thought he did a good job that day and played a part in preserving the point. |

I don't pretend to know what Noury is responsible for or Marti or even Belk. What I do know is that, at least in the short term, we are in are in a lot of trouble and that Mark Robbins has a lot of football league experience and has been active in this league for the last few years. We should be sounding him out about a short term consultant role to assist and advise the club on recruitment for the next window. We need a couple more experienced football league pros to come into the team in January, if we are to have any chance of staying up. |

There was a point last season, I think, where we had only won one home game in about a year. It was against Watford and I was away and watched on a stream. I will be away for Stoke and will watch on a stream. ๐ค๐ฌ๐ค |

Think the praise is a bit ott. Having given the keeper a yellow on 70 odd minutes, he then did nothing to stop him pissin about for the next twenty five. Smyth, rightly or wrongly, got free kicks that he wouldn't usually get. There were a few inconsistencies in that what was a foul one minute, wasn't the next. I would go no higher than a six. |

Yes, fair play to them. A decent bunch and great support for their club, who they stick with through thick and thin. |

I was still queuing to get through the LR turnstiles when Spam went ahead. It was all good from there though. Went to the first two of the three matches in the next round two. I think Forest equalised in the last minute in the first one, a header from a centre back maybe Larry Lloyd of Needham if he was back in Nottingham at this stage. Thanks for posting, good to see a really packed Loftus Road and lots of goals. |

IMHO a lot of suggestions made are rock or blues rock but I believe these four are rock'n'roll but not by 50's musicians. Rory Gallagher - Shin Kicker Jimi Hendrix - Johny B Goode (Woodstock version) Albert Lee - Rock Around with OllieVee CCR (Creedence) - Sweet Hitch Hiker |

If you named a short bench and then your keeper gets injured in the warm up or in the first minute and you have to make a change, you are starting to think what if and why didn't we? Slim chance and unlikely but stranger things have happened at the Rrrrrs. Remember the Warburton season when our keepers were falling like nine pins.๐ฌ |

They woke up on Saturday worse than they were on Friday. Anyway, does it really matter that much that we had to choose five from six, rather than five from seven and it seems as if it happens to others too. Point is taken about Kolli. However, we don't know whether that is mainly down to him, Marti or Noury. |

After initially being confused about the team news bench scenario, I put this on the match thread at 14.24 yesterday. Perhaps, we have travelled north with 22 players, including three keepers. Dembele and Fox have dropped out through sickness or injury and we have put Shepherd on the bench, as there is a spare seat. Didn't take long to rationalise the situation instead of losing it and going off on conspiracy theories. There may be problems at the club, as there is at most, but this isn't one of them. The only alternative is to travel north with more players but you will increase costs and end up with more pi**ed off players travelling and not even making the bench. |
