Nearly decided to stop watching the Germany game with all the VAR.

If I was that defender who got called on the handball I would have stood on the line with Schmeichel before penalty to protest this rule. Take the booking and get a conversation started.

Seeing copious amounts of holding, pulling and general man handling going on at this tournament. Some of the high profile players taking a real hammering at times. Yellow cards seem to come out late though I’m sure FIFA have told them to keep them tucked away sometimes. Funny as well that when players who do get booked act so indignant. You did it and the world saw you do it, Bizarre.

Goalkeepers not catching the ball. I remember seeing Clemence and Nev making diving catching saves all the time. This parrying malarkey is Costing goals.

Some mad shot blocking, single players and half the defense accompanied by goals being scored going through players legs.

Around that time was a real creative group around the Harrow area. Musicians, artists and hairdressers. Girlfriends brother designed the eurythmics record covers. Alan St Clair was the guitarist with Spear of Destiny/Theatre of Hate who I had a few chats with in the public bar of The Victory in Pinner. They were all a bit older then my mates and I. Didnt fully comprehend what was going on at the time. Le Bon even honored us with his presence from time to time. Was friends with his brother who invited us to go and see his brothers band very early days. Some reason I couldn’t make it. Shame in some ways.

I was at the England games at Italia 90. So much talent on the field and you felt Robson was holding them back. Lucky against Cameroon they were all over us at times. Germany game we played with freedom. Easily the best game of football I’ve ever witnessed live. End to end and of the highest quality.

First half Bellingham kept showing between the lines and know one for whatever reason saw it or gave it to him. So rigid and devoid of creativity.

Mind boggling that a team so highly rated and full of established footballers can’t keep the ball and keep giving it away. It’s like a League 1 game.

James at the Brixton Academy not sure when.

Only gig that I witnessed the band not being able to start up the next song as the audience just kept clapping and cheating. Band were very humbled. Hairs on the back of the neck stuff.

Again new album is wonderful. Going to the gig in Philadelphia and also spend the day taking in the sights.

Love Johnny Marr as well. A world without the smiths would be poorer in my eyes. (Tin hat on)

Don’t forget paying for parking. Local councils having to generate income due to budget cuts. Ruislip high st got mullered untill they changed it to 20 mins free.
