Beer prices at Loftus Road.
at 17:42 4 Mar 2025

The thing is, there is only a small window for people to buy the drinks and a maximum we can physcially sell, due to time to get served so on.

So by going from £6.25 to £7.25 (or there abouts) has probably stopped some people getting a drink, but I (and I have nothing to back this up) imagine that the actual numbers of beers hasn't dropped, due to service times and people previously giving up.

Doesn't make the pricing right, of course.

We can't do the pre pouring model as we don't have space for the pints.

I would be more inclined to get a drink at HT, before kick off, if the beer was Estrella, like what they stock in the Loft now. Presumably the catering company could swap them out. Carlsberg is a stupid choice.

Time to play our own

The loan signings make sense. They plug the gap and they are actually good players.

I think that some fans are disapointed (now) thast Morrison and a couple of others aren't getting minutes now that we aren't in the play off hunt.

Id love Yang to stay on next year, another year long loan would be a good thing in my mind. He looks to have talent, pace, composure and he has work rate. He isn't coming in as an ego, but hes coming in as someone who needs minutes. He is an upgrade on Smyth, and that's the key thing. Smyth is probably at his peak, and that peak is still a goal contribution every 8 games or something daft. Good impact but Smyth isn't a Championship level winger.

Edwards again is very good (though was poor on Sat) but Morrison (assuming fit, he might not be in which case it's a moot point) should be getting game time.

Premier League loans
at 09:48 3 Mar 2025

Potentially, but not always.

Sometimes it's seen as the PL club as us doing them a favour. They could still be paying all of their money. We could have paid to have them.

So in short, it could be, could not be. Loan deals all vary at all levels.

Pretty sure it was the other way around; played whilst JCS was off.

I agree with playing players that will be here next year. Morrison should be getting games so that he is more prepared for next year.

But then I am going back on myself as I think Yang is better than Smyth. I don't think Smyth is a starting 11 player. Decent impact player but his goal/assist ratio is poor. Either way, I think he'll be o nthe bench next year and we'll sign a new RW (does Dembele play there?).

Yang next season ??
at 09:38 3 Mar 2025

I thought he looked pretty good at the weekend. What I like is that in and around the box, he will get a good connection on a shot. Smyth tends to sky the ball whereas Yang has the composure to strike it cleanly.

I think he is a step up in quality but obviously needs to get a bit stronger. Another year loan with us would be good I think but I do agree that if he isn't going to stay, then not much point in him playing now we have our own players back.

Same goes for Edwards.

Places for a new ground
at 10:01 27 Feb 2025

I know these have been done before but its a forum, so why not. Better to have threads people comment on than nothing.

Existing site is a problem as if we build here, the building regs wouldn't allow for our gradient. So, based on what others have said, it means that we could probably only fit a 15k max in, probably less. So no way would the cost of demolishing and re building for less people (even if more corporate) make a return on investment.

I saw ages ago about a White City refurb and LR was included in those plans, so I wonder if there is something there.

Also, the voice of the club around LR has changed in the last few years. Less about having to move and more about what we can do at LR and that we cannot say much after speaking to the council. Seems odd to mention that if there aren't discussions around something substantial happening.

QPR finances released

What should it be? Getting it below 100% is really impressve when you look back down the years. I just don't know what the industry 'good' looks like.

Millwall away virgin

Think the QPR away fans all stand now anyway right? So no benefit to being at the back. I'd rather be standing at the front row.

First time doing Millwall on a Sat 3pm, so I'm.looking forward to it.

Home ends are pretty much sold out as well.

It was the day before a game. I would (and I think I am in the minority) be surprised if the man preparing for the game the next day, would lose out on that time with coaches, players etc to speak at a forum.

Not that it helped but hopefully it makes sense.

I am more surprised that it wasn't during the international break like normal.

It would be via the club. Same way that Everton have got their ground and it's still going, despite the owner giving up.

The only way LR gets better is by being knocked down and us being able to buy the school and the road being built over.

With a regeneration of the area, it's more of a blank canvass rather than having to be on our grounds.

If there's no leeway of the current site square footage then we'll never drastically improve LR.

Regs have changed, can't have the stands as steep as ours these days.

It has been included in the regeneration of the area.

Something is definitely happening with LR.

The clubs stance on stadium has switched back to working on LR. Ruben etc have said that they can't talk about what they want to do as they have done it publicly before and look how that went.

LR has also been included in the map of the re-gen of the area. If you see the lines, it didn't need to be in there so I think it is all going hand in hand.

What that means in real terms, I have no idea. But it feels closer than ever that something at LR will be improving.

Non QPR help needed please.

I did Barcelona vs PSG ages ago. When I first looked, prices were sky high. But nearer the time I got tickets through the official site (I think) as season ticket holders sold their seats.

Presume Madrid do the same thing so you could look nearer the time.

Eze release clause
at 16:33 21 Aug 2024

Palace fans on another forum think that they'll keep him this year and then cash in next season when he has 1 year left on his contract.

Saw comments earlier about the release clause.

If a club matches the clause, it's automatically accepted. Nothing the club can do other than hope he stays. But he doesn't have to move if he doesn't want to.

If a club offer the money but not in 1 go, then Palace can reject it. This is why you see clubs paying over the price so that they can pay it in instalments.

This Sky deal?
at 17:08 15 Aug 2024

I haven't read the whole thread, so apologies if this is already been discussed.

My feeling is that they have done this because of the no 3pm kick offs on TV. So they have done a big F U and moved them to 12.30. Now fans will be happy for the game to be at 3pm on a Sat and on TV.

Single file queing in pubs
at 17:06 15 Aug 2024

I think I am swaying towards the queing is better. Always annoying when some div get served before you despite only just turning up. Awkwardly trying to get the barmans attention so that you are next.

At least in a queue you know where you are at and it goes pretty quickly. At the end of the day, you are queueing either way.

You (sort of) queue at QPR for a beer. Not much difference, is there.

Would you rather win league cup or survive?
at 17:02 15 Aug 2024

Odd way to look at it. I would rather win the cup than stay up. Realistically, are we going to win it? Of course not. Would I play a weakened team in the cup and focus more on the league, definitely.

If losing on Friday meant that we win the cup then I am all for it.

New cheap season tickets
at 16:43 1 Aug 2024

I said this as well. Part of me thinks that this is why it has been done. There has been plenty of demand for the safe standing so having the family stand there makes sense.

But not sure what facilities the lower loft has for kids that the School End wouldn't? I have never sat in the LL to know the difference.

New cheap season tickets
at 15:46 26 Jul 2024

Exactly that, it is for the away fans. Clubs like Leeds were charging away fans a lot more than those with similar views so the new rule was brought in.

Good idea to open it to home fans. Hopefully it doesn't cost us too much financially but I am sure over the year it will be fine. Interesting to see if people will be standing there as histically the cheap sections are where the standers go; like in Y block (where I stand).

Someone asked about emails for their tickets ... ive not had mine yet.
