Tall Paul ran about again and won a few challenges in the midfield and laid the ball out wide, but he missed a couple of glorious chances which if they have been missed by Armstrong or Brereton would have people saying thats why we are in trouble.
Tall Paul is there to get goals, granted we haven't played to his strengths yet, but when we did he fluffed them |

We drew 1-1 at Fratton Park in a very Christmassy atmosphere where both fans exchanged gifts and yuletide greetings.

Good points I would say.
We are a poor team at this level but not that much different from 4 or 5 other teams in terms of standard, just poorly managed.
Recruitment has been patchy, but we have made some good signings, the problem was that we also made signings that didn't fit Martin's style for some reason
The strikers weren't getting the chances due to the possession football game, maybe that will change
The defence isn't the best, but a lot of the goals have been down to getting caught playing out of defence, so perhaps not as bad as we would think.
The midfield lacks physical strength, we bought in Ugochukwu for that, but he has been rarely played, Martin preferred Smallbone and Aribo, look at other teams midfields they are big and strong
Yes Martin should have been sacked at least 5 games ago.
The recruitment team works to a strategy, why did they bring in players that Martin was never going to use
Ill be there tonight and like you hoping we turn it on and win the game, I'm also hoping that some of our squad will now play without the pressure of possession football and show that they are not too bad after all |

I disagree, most teams are playing possession football, it is only the level to which they play it and how quickly they get the ball forward.
Very few teams just lump it forward at the earliest opportunity, they keep the ball and then go for the opening , Liverpool possession football game is a lot different to Man City's and Bournemouth's is a lot different to ours. |

The next manager betting book is a fun bet, it has too many opportunities for the bookies to catch a cold, as at some point several people know who is going to be the next manager before it is announced.
So if Phil Parsons pops in to William Hill's in town and tries to wallop £3 million on Graham Potter at 7-1, they will smell a rat.
So on these type of bets there is a fairly low maxim that the bookies will accept being put on and if you get a little surge somewhere then the odds shorten quickly |

Very good live band it was a good double header and well worth the money, i would imagine that there is a few at the Damned who would have gone to the Skids if they hadnt clashed and vice versa |

I would say that is pretty much the case with most managers and their assistants, the assistant manages the coaching and the players whilst the main man stays a little aloof from the dressing room.
