Interesting shout that. Got me intrigued … not sure that Coleman or the new spreadsheet guy will know where to start

Luke Williams : The Swans just need to stop making the same old cheap mistakes
at 09:20 18 Feb 2025

This is going to be a big ask of Coleman or anyone with little to no knowledge of how to run a professional sports organisation. With little or no experience of actually doing any role within such an organisation previously

He will need to balance the books & be expected to deliver success on & off the field. It appears that he is actually at ground zero, with absolutely no structure put in place by the previous administration after 8 years in charge. He is seemingly unwilling or unable to build an organisation or able to identify the skills of people to do it with him. A clear case of trial & error so far. Things are likely to get worse before they start to improve.

Based on his actions ( and words) how can anyone be convinced that he is the right man for the job ?

Is that the Rob Edwards who got Luton relegated from the EPL & took them to the relegation places in the Championship ? The same guy who thought they were the better side against us over Xmas ? No thanks

Well deserved in the end … Sunderland hanging on all second half, lacking quality but a young squad

Probably could have included Cooper & his England juniors connections Guehi, Gallagher, Brewster.

Potter never really had any connections with clubs in this country as he had been making a name for himself in Sweden. Hence signings made in his time were poor to say the least

Martin lacked connections unless you believe that Darling & Fisher to be big successes, though the one that got away (O’Riley) would have been the pick of the bunch.

As for Luke & the Notts Co guy possibly on the way - their pedigree is lower & non league connections with the likes of Notts Co, Swindon etc

His connections at Chelsea brought in Sinclair, his connection at Reading brought in Sigurdsson, his Watford connection Danny Graham.

Really struggling to understand the club direction of appointments with people with poor or lower leagues connections in the game. Bringing in coaches from lower leagues, appointing people without pedigree or know how seems to be all financially driven, a gamble, bargain basement types

Success in our history has always been about appointing people with pedigree, knowhow, people with connections to attract the right types of player:

Toshack - with his Liverpool connections
Flynn & Jackett - experience at lower league levels
Brendan - Chelsea, Watford, Reading connections
Laudrup - the Spanish market
Martinez - Spanish & Scottish league connections

We now seem tied to having a manger & recruitment specialist based on their knowledge of working in the lower leagues. Baffling

Making an offer at the end of the transfer window … stupid strategy especially when we don’t have the people to carry it out effectively

Where is Joe?

Unfortunately his time was up before he came back to us. Ridiculous decision to bring him back. A terrific player at his peak, if only Huw hadn’t hesitated when he was no longer a part of Klopp’s plans. Wasted at Stoke City

Is this guy really off the menu
at 19:12 7 Feb 2025

Not sure if he is to blame or not … whatever his job was it’s a a total 100% shambles with or without him. What exactly has he achieved in his time at the club ?

Why is the club trying to reinvent the wheel ? … every season … it’s like the blind leading the blind. Pathetic doesn’t even start to describe the incompetence

Most clubs have managed to get multiple players in - I read that Luton has brought in 8 players - there is only one place that Andrew Coleman needs to look for this shambles, the mirror

Coleman's programme notes vs Coventry
at 12:10 2 Feb 2025

Yes - but Swansea City AFC is an organisation that is in a battle to attract will want to players, customers, coaches, youngsters etc etc, Matt Grimes is an individual footballer who will be forgotten about very quickly

A few well chosen words wouldn’t have gone amiss

Do we really care.Seriously
at 12:04 2 Feb 2025

One of the weakest squads - yes
Weakest striking options- definitely
Grimes replaceable- yes but his replacement should have been In place
One of the poorest coaches in the league

Current ownership doing nothing different to the recently departed

Maybe the performances against QPR & Luton were the exception and all performances since are closer to the norm ?

Good enough to stay up ? Hmmm - looks like we will need the rapidly eroding points buffer but it is too close for comfort to be confident. We need another 14-16 points from somewhere
