Firstly an apology to Boston, The players and team management, the club officials and the supporters. Yesterday was a new low. The original fixture was postponed after mild temperatures and hardly any rain. I did not think it could get any worse than the original postponement and then I hear the news at 6pm last night (In disbelief) driving to Spotland. The club needs to find the immediate short term solution and fast. Yes it might cost but what is the alternative?. Get to season end and then do the pitch renovations and drainage properly and that might be very expensive. A real test for Cameron Ogden. This was a total Shambles right from the moment no pitch inspection was tweeted. |

BBC Weather Rochdale… They have not been very accurate over the last 48 hours TBF and it’s currently glorious in Rochdale with blue sky and bright sunshine. Hoping for the best after the mood boosting win on Saturday. |

Much dryer than forecast yesterday so the pitch should have held up ok. Currently much dryer Monday than forecast with pockets of blue sky over Spotland and a stiff breeze. It’s the 30 hours of bad weather forecast from 4pm Monday up to kick off that will decide if we play or not. Can the forecast be wrong for 3 consecutive days? Of course the groundstaff might have covered the pitch but we don’t have the correct type of cover to help. I am not holding out much hope tbh but fingers crossed. |

Oh yes!!! How about a league game? |

Thought the pitch held up pretty well yesterday. Some heavy rain forecast and a game of rugby this afternoon not ideal. It will be a busy 3 days for the ground staff to maximise our chance of getting Tuesday nights game on!. Massive chance to register 2 wins in 4 days to finally leapfrog Oldham. Realistically this was always on the cards. |

Best 45 minutes of football since we played Woking at home earlier this season. The two lads on the left an absolute breath of fresh air. Big Jim got his tactics spot on - this is the football that will get a fair few absentees back to Spotland on a match day. It would be great to firstly get the game on this Tuesday and then as importantly carry on as we left off. 4 goals in one half when was the last time we did that?? |

It’s currently snowing now at Spotland |

I would not want to move from Spotland BUT if we got a new Chesterfield or York scenario i could see the benefit. No to a merger though (been mooted for at least 25 years) Manchester North End?. The club needs to get the drains and the pitch sorted once and for all. When the drains are sorted a ride on water hog would also be a good investment one that can take all surface water off the pitch when it really teams down. Below removes 6000 gallons an hour OFF the playing surface and then you water cannon it down a drain of your choice. WaterHOG uses a patented pumping process to pick-up standing water from your playing or event surface enabling water to be removed and disposed of at a location of your choice. WaterHOG is available in two sizes to accommodate large and small areas: WaterHOG Rider Motorized Riding Model Picks up 6,000+ gallons of water per hour 11 HP engine • Operates at 6-10mph •Water disposal through high-pressure cannon or storage tank • Ground pressure of only 2 pounds per square inch |

6 degrees during the day Monday Tuesday and Wednesday next week. Plenty of time to work on the pitch to get the game on. |

Quite pathetic from Oldham not managing a bit of frost. #Tinpot. |

I agree James it would. A fans focus group should be a priority. They would come up with 25 easy wins that could be considered (some could probably be actioned with immediate effect). There needs to be the will. There needs to be a person in charge that drives it forward. Agreed getting back to 3000 and our highest average attendance in recent times. |

Hopefully the club will update all the supporters tomorrow with the plan to give the best chance of playing. The game is Wednesday and not Tuesday so that might help a lot. |

I thought Henry was brilliant. Always looking to be positive in his play and had something about him. |

I sit somewhere between Boss Hog and the vocal critical supporters of some board members. The stewardship should always be under scrutiny but there are some pillars of light amongst the obvious own goals. We cant be down on them all the time. Is SG the man?.. I am happy to wait until season end after the very recent (pre Ogden) turmoil to make a judgement. Agree that the fan engagement could and should be so much better from the club. We get it from Big Jim and the team to some extent but very little to get excited about from the boardroom. I guess they would counter they are not there for this reason and that's fine if the club appoints somebody who will run through walls for supporters and the communication is ramped up ten fold. |

Everybody is welcome at Spotland. 2000 regulars 600 occassionals 1000 from united 1000 from City 399 from wherever that even leaves one seat for any intrigued closet Dale Biffo. |

My OP was taken word for word from the Sunday times last weekend. Whilst there could be journalistic license at play there is no doubt the crowds at Bromley are have been on an upward trend. Closer to home Stockport have seen significant crowd increases in the last 10 years. The obvious difference (compared to Dale) is both Bromley and Stockport have had a winning product on the pitch something the football club must not lose sight of. When I say winning I mean promotions not the occasional home win. |

Project 5000 is a great initiative as its so specific and so easily measured. I am hopeful that the club gets the dynamic people in place to make this happen in the not too distant future. That said when the incentives start flooding in and the marketing machine starts we all have our part to play as well to get this moving forward. When will the BOD lay out the creative and dynamic plan so we can all get right behind it?. |

Not sure it will have started yet James.. the snow (and cold) has been pretty bad at Spotland the last 48 hours. The forecast is set to improve dramatically though. |
