Hi all.

Should be a good game tomorrow. Can't see it being called off personally, let's hope for an entertaining game with a great atmosphere.

My opinion is we will be rather keen to get it on- forecast is reasonable and we're in good form. Our game v Sheffield Wednesday during the Beast from the East was on first Saturday last March.

Bit of background for you from the aforementioned game last year. Having said that, the paper is a shadow of its former self.

There are a few.

Most commonly welcoming of away fans are Nova Scotia, Rose of Denmark and MAYBE Tobacco Factory that place welcomed both last time I went (that said, not been to Tobacco Factory on a Matchday for some while).

Ones on North Street aside from maybe the aforementioned Tobacco Factory and near the ground are strictly home only.

Hi all.

Standard away pubs are Nova Scotia, Rose of Denmark and I think away fans welcome in Tobacco Factory- as in both home and away fans- but don't quote me on that last one.

Would play a part certainly, but at the same time we have been pretty consistent in the main in our approach to allocations this season. There is always an exception to the rule and yourselves maybe it.

Hi @PapaLazarou and anyone else wondering about the lowish/moderate allocation.

It is a bit dated now but predominantly the reason for the lower allocation would have been a club decision I feel.

Big away followings though good for the game, as a whole- and I'm personally in favour of like past times albeit brought up to 2019 standards, safe standing behind both goals, giving away fans at all grounds a whole end- however in these times they help away sides- especially in a derby type atmosphere or a big match.

Essentially, the club (my team aka Bristol City) would like marginal gains. Every little helps, i.e. smaller numbers of away fans- we saw what a big noisy away following last year could do v Leeds and v Wolves in 2017- the latter was especially crucial in our downfall last season being the way it went, the end of the year etc.

I believe the ideal for the club would be away fans as far away from the pitch as possible and in a fairly low number. Hence why no POTD for away supporters either.

Anyway, my point is moot now there has been an extra allocation but this hopefully helps to explain it a bit.

Probably happens up and down the country, people dotted about in small numbers.

The club are quite hot on it however- though don't want to get into it on this thread.

Hi all, I'm a Bristol City fan in peace.

I have little to add to Infoman and his excellent, er, info- but would add that pubs around the ground and a bit further afield are fairly strictly home only.

I believe the Tobacco Factory on North Street welcomes away fans, but Bar BS3, Three Lions, Coopers Arms, The Robins- fairly sure home only. Possibly the Miners Arms too is applicable. El Rincon on North Street, also home only.

Sure Infoman will add ones I have forgotten.
