Lukaku or Bony on 19:47 - Dec 22 by Matlock_Jack | Just proves that supporters see different games, but we didn't do enough to take anything (however you cut it) and with respect, that's the only stat that matters: the scoreboard. If what you're saying is we played well but couldn't score sufficiently, then I hear what you say, but an apparently average Everton team scored two superb goals and I honestly thought they were better. Jack |
agree to an extent. the main point is everyone is going into meltdown when we aren't actually that bad! and I never said Everton were average

I thought we played well today with much more about us, you can tell that europe is out for a couple of months. Everton are just better than us at the mo,

Well if you didn't say they were average, you certainly questioned their quality to some extent, but I believe the issue amongst fans is different. When we saw all these foreign players coming into the club, I believe the Swans fans foresaw some explosive and exciting times. Can anyone say we're really seeing that? So the fans are disappointed and maybe that emotion is self-inflicted to some extent, but we've a right to expect decent buys, now more than ever and some of them have struggled comprehensively. Vasquez has been a huge disappointment and we have a 6 million midfielder who can't get into our team, but who beat Chelsea recently. Jack
Lukaku or Bony on 20:07 - Dec 22 with 1114 views | Bloodyhills | I think Lukaku is a great player and as for Boney, I like him, he is aware of what's around him, plays some nice ball and brings others into the game though his stiking is a bit wayward at times. i think he may yet come good, (crossing fingers)

Ki did not beat Chelsea. He can't get into our team for a reason, and that is because he isnt' better than our other midfielders. I'm sure this is where you are going to point out that he is better than JDG, when he isn't.

No I wasn't going to make that point about JDG, (though he's not the player he once was) but in scoring the winning goal, he did (to that extent) beat Chelsea and I'm just wondering if our midfield could do with that kind of firepower (even if only an option on the bench. Jack

De Guz had a very good game today, so did Pablo and both tried very hard all game to make something happen. I don't expect many to agree as, to our average numpty, sorry supporter, if everything they try doesn't come off they are clearly "s**t".....ignoring the fact that of course if it did, they'd be nowhere near our team anyway. Everton pay shedloads more in wages, are an attractive proposition for loan players and have a settled strong core. Their players are a bit better generally and, that makes a difference. Lukaku would probably command at least twice Bony's fee if he was sold by Chelsea, and he turned us down because guess what? We can't afford what he wants and we are not a sufficient progression for him. So yes, chalk and cheese.

Lukaku or Bony on 20:26 - Dec 22 with 1057 views | Molliemick | Lukaku is a Chelsea player. Would Chelsea sign Bony? There is your answer. There were better players available for half Bony's price. The problem is they probably would not come to a small, out of the way town like Swansea!

Who was better for half the price (Include their actual transfer fees please). How many goals would Lukaku have scored today had he been in our team?

I'm not; he put Chelsea out with one of the best pieces of finishing I've seen this season. They were only supposed to be cannon fodder in that one too. It would be nice to have him as an option. Jack

So because he scored a goal, that equates to him beating Chelsea? What about all the other games he's played and not scored? Mike.

Well why do you keep saying things like, ask Chelsea or he beat Chelsea. He's scored one lousy goal in the last, what 18months? Yeah he could be an option from the bench, of course he could. A few weeks ago, people on here were hailing the return of Pablo as some great white hope and guess what? He's mostly been the same gash as before he was injured. Cyril.

I'm just saying it seems we could do with options in midfield, which you agree with it seems as I agree with you about Pablo, but I've never been that convinced about him TBH. Jack

It doesnt take a rocket scientist to work out that we need better options than those mentioned
