Normally I am ultimate pessimist, but can't quite believe I have arrived home from st Mary's to read people on here saying we are in a dogfight? We were the better side throughout, outplayed them. We gave them two chances and they scored two goals. We will be beating teams like that at home.

Blimey. Double back to you old chap!

Innit. That's probably Perch's most unintentionally funny post yet.

You know, Hobbes, some days even my lucky rocket ship underpants don't help.

By the end of November, we could have an equally misleading picture of how things are, given the number of home games we have and the opposition, The same people who are forecasting relegation will be talking frothily of champions league qualification, and so will continue in this ceaseless pendulum swing of insanity.

Its just a ride.

Too early for any idea of final finish yet, but we do need to start our home season with Sunderland with a few wins.

We are only ONE short of equalling our first seasons away wins.

Three all season in 2011/12, wto already in the bank this season.

Villa, West Brom, Fulham, Wigan in our first season. We are halfway there which is comforting although we won 8 home games that season so, as you say, we need to start beating teams at the Liberty.

Last season we won 5 on the road and just 6 at home. Our home form overall under Laudrup has not been as good as it should have been with 6 wins, 9 draws and 7 defeats. I appreciate that we've started with three tough fixtures but we should be doing better at the Liberty.

Listen, you f*cking fringe, if I throw a dog a bone, I don't want to know if it tastes good or not. You stop me again whilst I'm walking, and I'll cut your f*cking Jacobs off
