The Official Southampton v Swansea City Matchday Thread 10:43 - Oct 6 with 44601 viewsmarchamjack

Can't see one so thought I'd start it.

Need to play much much better than Thursday to get anything today. Hope Bony starts and we take a positive attitude to this away game, not the negative approach we saw at Spurs. Not feeling overly hopeful I must say, but also hope to be proved wrong.

COYS

Oh,..Dave, what's occuring?

Face up to reality pal I'd love him to be a smash but from what I've seen so far lita is just as good in fact same style of player

If you honestly think Lita and Bony can even be uttered in the same sentence, then I'll have some of what you're smoking, please.

F**k me pink. West Ham are doing a fabulous job containing Totty. Surely they can't dare to attack them can they? Don't they know a 1-0 defeat is a good result?

Three (!) nil up away against Spurs and we are now 15th.
Wonderful.

Just to whip the deceased nag into oblivion, I watched the second half of WBA Arse and WBA should have been 3 up before Arse's lucky deflected equaliser and yes, WBA attacked them toe-to-toe right to the end.

The people that reckon we can only be timid against these teams have no evidence and their totally unsubstantiated in reality assumptions (ooh we might lose worse) look more and more ridiculous by the minute, by the WHam 3 minute in fact. Just saying.

You really, really think Lita and Bony are comparable after watching the two of them? Or are you just messing about? We will see if he justifies his price tag....probably nobody could in many people's eyes, but holy guacamole man, you can't say you'd be indifferent to having him or Lita lining up in attack based on what you've seen so far? If you do, all I can say is you're entitled to your opinion I suppose.

Some points you should consider:

1. Quality goalkeeping prevented Bony from having both a goal and an assist (for Dyer's with the backheel) today. In recent days, he also set up Ben in the Arse game and Wayne in the St. Gallen game.
2. He's our top scorer with 7 goals, and has as one less goal in the league than our almighty talisman Michu (who himself only has 2).
3. Not only did he not have a proper pre-season to build match fitness, but ML has arsed around with rotating him in and out of various midweek and weekend games, preventing him from building up any momentum.
4. The majority of our team can't cross for shit, which neutralises one of his main strengths.

I'm sure others will contribute.

That's the problem I cannot see a massive difference in them and nobody has given me a good cause too all I get is price tag Jesus even your manager is saying he's having to adjust and so forth

Good effort at last a reasonable argument but again other strikers have had the same, more came up against good goalkeeping and had assists but labeled crap by the majority others were top goal scorers ie graham but people were glad for him to go we've always been shit at crosses which supposedly lita is good at indeed all of them come into these categories inc bony that why I see nothing special in him

Good spot Mart.

Yeah, I'm basically going to repeat everything GT stated a couple of posts ago just for the fun of it. Give you chance to repeat whatever it is you said in response. No thanks.

You believe that he's no better than Lita. That's fine. I'll just mentally file you away alongside the religious nutter I saw ranting Waterstones the other day or the bloke I once spotted wondering up the high street with his arm round absolutely nobody, taliking to them as he went.
