Thought Tremmel was excellent .The penalty stop may have seemed simple,but credit to Tremmel for not moving till the ball was kicked, which many goalkeepers probably would have done.His catching from corners and centres was excellent, and he punched well when it was needed.

I've noticed with Vorm that he is far too quiet, he doesn't talk to his back four yet Gerry is constantly talking to them. We are more solid as a defensive unit IMHO when he is playing. |  |

I actually think Tremmel has been the better since Vorms injury vs man city. Vorm hasn't been quite the same since but still a world class keeper. Tremmel just deals with crosses better, and is more physically commanding. |
Couldn't agree more. Even in his 1st season i thought Vorm was a little overrated in general and the idea that the likes of Barca were interested in him genuinely amazed me. Tremmel's record since the start of last season certainly suggests he is the better keeper but then my own eyes tell me this also. |  | | |

Vorm will always make an easy save look good for the cameras, yet Tremmel will just make the save. He's a better distributer of the ball than Vorm as well. | |

We're exceedingly lucky to have such two good keepers, with a nominally "backup" one who is extemely professional about it even though he's got a justifiable claim to be the #1.
Tremmel should at least play all the cup and European games if he's not going to be first choice in the league. |  |

I remembered in the start of this season, when a shoot straight at Vorm came (easy to take), Vorm jumped up so he was vertikal in the air, like it was the World Cup finale.
Where Tremmel is so calm and just keep it extremly simple.
What makes Tremmel so good it is he is much better on set pieces, he do not just stay on the line.

Vorm was positionally poor today, and I agree with others in that he hasn't looked the same player for a number of months. I also don't like his attitude when he seems to dredge up the names of other clubs he'd like to play for or inspire him in interviews. Fair enough, yeah Barca and Man Utd are two of the world's top clubs, but you're either 100% SCFC, or you can f**k off.
Gerry, on the other hand, has been professional and not thrown his toys out of the pram when others in his position may have done so, showed his class even in games where we've had a second string defence out and have been dicked, commands his box better than Vorm and gathers corners and the like better too.
Just my opinion, of course. |  |

My gut feeling is that Vorm doesn't fill me with confidence anymore. When he first came, if we went 1-0 up I'd always think, now you have to get past Vorm and feel pretty confident. Now it's the opposite; he gives me the jitters. It might just be me of course, and he is exactly the same. It doesn't feel like it though. |  |

At last some sense.
Vorm is nowhere near what he was and ts our feckn club he s playing for so we go for the best option ,the safest option and the best on current form.
BTW, that doesnt mean Vorm is crap,see. | |
