Based on that, I can see Palace and Hull really struggling. Also Newcastle and Stoke were poor last year, but don't seem to have strengthened.

I suppose our signings look good as everyone has already had a chance to see them play competitively. Norwich's squad looks quite good on paper, but we don't know how well they'll fit in together yet.

What a piece of sh*t article. With almost a month between now and the end of the transfer window, a lot of it will irrelevant soon enough. Plus lots of these signings may look good or bad in principle, but we have no idea how they'll pan out over the season.

For those who follow the NFL, articles like this are as annoying as the rush to assign grades to the Draft within minutes of it finishing.

The author appears to be able to see the future when he says that 'If Manchester United want to retain their title they need to dip into the transfer market'. He may be right, but no-one knows for sure.

As for Newcastle, they did a lot of work in January that should reap rewards now, although it does look like they still need a signing or two.

You know, Hobbes, some days even my lucky rocket ship underpants don't help.

Yep. The same numpty would probably have given QPR AAA+++ for their 'stellar' signings this time last season.

Teams are not made by chucking money at players. Having seen what we've bought mind, I'm more than comfortable at rating us 'A', but this punter is just mostly guessing.

It's not as bad as the daily mirror season preview:

and

I'm sure this must be a joke, but I just don't get it.
