No subject (n/t) on 12:55 - Nov 5 with 1175 views | TVOS1907 | I keep trying to convince people you're not a wind-up merchant, Tazzy, but I've obviously been wrong all along. If you honestly and truly believe you're going to get a career in the media the way you say, then good luck to you. But it's not going to happen. Never! The sooner you accept this and look for something more suited to your skills and abilities, the better it will be for us all, primarily yourself.

Good, I admire your determination. But if/when it doesn't work out, you need alternative plans. However, you might find less help forthcoming if you start to stick up your middle finger at people who are simply trying to help you by offering constructive, realistic advice.

And all power to you Tazzy. But you won't. Good luck.... gotta love the people who doubt me it just makes more more determend to reach my goals so when i do you all who putting me down will be getting a middle finger and a i told you so and that's being nice compared to have the put down on this site alone You have got to love those who doubt me. It just makes me more DETERMINED to reach my goals, so when I do, all who have been putting me down will be getting the big middle finger and 'I told you so'. That's being nice, compared to being put down on this site. It may not be 100% right... but your* welcome... * iconic alert

Can all of us who have offered you constructive advice about your chosen career and been ignored, collectively give you the middle finger when you relinquish your dream?

And there is the rub Dorset. He can post his reviews on here all he likes, I don't think many have a problem with that. I don't, I wonder what we used to talk about before our Tazzy appeared. But I genuinely think he sees the feed back on here and thinks he's gonna give Geoffrey Archer a run for his money, and win the next Booker prize. Which, if we are honest, I don't think he is. The more patting on the head and 'Well done Tazzy' is actually doing him more harm than good, in getting him in to work in my honest opinion. But well done Tazzy and keep up the good work... if that helps sugar the pill.

Totally agree. I often read some of his ponderings and want to climb the wall using only my finger nails. Then I calm down and realise the only one that's going to have any effect from my negative energy is ME so I've learnt to chuckle to myself instead. We all inhabit our own little worlds, some believe theirs is reality even if the rest of us think it a tad far-fetched. As far as work is concerned, there will NEVER be full employment again so maybe it's best those more capable be allowed the opportunities?
