Luke off to the Netherlands 20:09 - Jan 16 with 3724 views | KeithHaynes | With three games in 7 days. People actually standing up for him and saying it’s ok. How many muppets supporting this club do we have ? His job is three games in seven days, prepping the team and dealing with management issues, not fecking off over Europe doing someone else’s job.

Luke off to the Netherlands on 07:24 - Jan 17 by Dr_Winston | Unfortunately the Troll does have a point (in a stopped clock style). We have signed far too many players in recent seasons that managers have petulantly refused to give proper opportunities to. Some have gone on to do well, spectacularly well in some cases elsewhere. Kyle Joseph is the latest. Almost entirely ignored, sent on loan and eventually used as a makeweight, now on the verge of a £2m+ move back to the Championship. We can't afford to keep throwing money away. If this means Williams is fully on board with who we're trying to sign it's no biggie. I can't imagine him not being near the players for a day or two would be detrimental in any case. [Post edited 17 Jan 7:39]

Agreed. Throwing money away is the main reason we have problems with P&S, entirely down to shambolic ownership of the last 8 years. Hopefully the new lot will be far more understanding and knowledgeable of British football.

Luke off to the Netherlands on 20:26 - Jan 16 by union_jack | Well if it has the same effect by keeping him off the training ground as it did keeping him out of the dressing room before QPR, then I’d welcome it with open arms. Stay as long as you like Luke👍 |
The players should feel free to play as they should and can . Netherlands is nice Lukey You’d love it there

You're right OHL. They're not allowed to play only if they do exactly as the master plan says. Moving to Holland would be lovely what with spring approaching

Luke off to the Netherlands on 09:16 - Jan 17 with 992 views | Boundy | Maybe if the rumours about training being repetitive then does he need to be there at Fairwood . It used to be the case that Mangers did assess players and deal with them directly maybe we're turning the clock back.

Son loved in The Hague for seven years . Used to visit regular and even managed to get by with bastardised Dutch. Fine country but one with a dark side however but the country works. They are very sporty but quite reserved socially. In business ,they are very direct and won’t hesitate to tell you to xxxxx off. Frankly, thinking about it,Lukey would struggle as they admire honesty and directness Finally,if you have to visit one foreign stadium ,go to Feyenood stadium, formally known as De Kuip ( the tub) Full on nutters Managed to get to a Den Haag - Feyenoord game courtesy of JVZ ( the devil) Cannabis for breakfast innit

It's not entirely shambolic ownership. Team management has to answer as well. Between Whittaker and Joseph that's potentially well over eight figures worth of attacking talent that Russell Martin had at his disposal and wasted. Yates' fan favourite status at Derby calls into question Williams' handling of him here. That last one is one of the major reasons why I refuse to join in the criticism of Vipotnik and Bianchini, both of whom have shown in flashes what they're capable of and a more astute manager willing to utilise a less cowardly form of football might be able to harness more consistently.

Yates may possibly be a fans favourite but he's not performing like a £2.5M pound player on £12K a week, I question if Derby had that outlay would he still be a fans favourite. Incidentally Cullen has scored more than Yates this season on half the money.

I have never known such a flat build up to the South Wales derby. A strange atmosphere from within the club and supporters at the moment. [Post edited 17 Jan 17:20]

Why not be polite and follow the suite rules about name calling? . This is a forum for debate. Alternative views are allowed even in south Wales. Calling out poor performers in not trolling and I do not abuse other posters. I do call out institutions such as the club and some club owners and fans singing ethnic slurs against my people. The ones with self respect.

Luke off to the Netherlands on 20:34 - Jan 16 by magicdaps10 | Sunday is a day off. He will be over and back in 1 day and will be ready for training Monday morning. If it's to get a deal or 2 over the line then it's fine with me. |
The manager needs to go to Holland to get deals over the line for players we know absolutely nothing about a week ago. This isn’t about Luke it’s obviously a club decision, he needs to be given blessing to travel.

Luke off to the Netherlands on 21:31 - Jan 16 by Whiterockin | Is he scouting or going to talk to a player face to face to get him over the line. It just seems strange otherwise. |
His words, going to ‘assess’ two players. Desperate times.

Luke off to the Netherlands on 22:11 - Jan 16 by magicdaps10 | Just seen the presser. I think it's a case to go and see players to sell the club....I take that to get deals over the line or attempt to clinch the deal. Looks like Phillips at Barnsley is being discussed Dolan sounds like it's a no go. Just watch the interview, read between the quotes and link them and take time to look at his facial expressions when he answers. |
I think … We confirmed Dolan was not even in the cards recently.

Luke off to the Netherlands on 23:14 - Jan 16 by ReslovenSwan1 | The scouts have recommended these Dutch players and they could have gone ahead without Williams seeing them. The last Dutch defender is permanently on the bench and by now must be pretty demoralised. Nathan Ntoe an On. Swansea cannot afford to buy player Williams will not select. it is common sense. He will will not miss any matches perhaps one training session. He will go KLM presumably after the Cardiff game and fly back Sunday morning. He will have all the data at hand. Give the club some credit. This is option B or C. |

I honestly believe this isn't right, this scouting should have been done months ago. Going to take some doing to get deals over the line if we are serious about these players, let's hope they don't get injured Sunday

Thing is people take offence and they don’t know why, then start making up stuff that’s a vendetta against Luke Williams. How can it be ? It’s not his decision, to go to Holland has to be endorsed by the Chairman. People 🙄
