Old news now, shirley? He's alluding to the horn of a unicorn, which is on his family crest, apparently, and which he also has as a tattoo. Frey explained it in a post-match interview some time back. Very phallic-symbolic!

I think he's just a bit mad.

IIRC correctly it's because he has a unicorn tattoo and Jimmy Dunne suggested it as a celebration.

Why he has a unicorn tattoo in the first place wan't mentioned, maybe its because he'd heard that goal scoring centre forwards employed by QPR were believed to be mythical beasts or at best extinct.

Well, I Googled ‘Frey Unicorn Interview’ and it came up with this but nothing about a tattoo or family crest so must have missed that one.

Swiss chocolate company apparently. Maybe he’s the heir.

He’s got the Seb Polter / Devon White about him

He gets horny and needs to score.

Here's the interview - talks about it near the end.

According to their website they do a Frey Supreme Nuts bar, so if Northern's right you may be onto something.

"The perfect blend between crunch and tenderness" it says here. I mean, there's the match report headline right there.

It also suggests that we should be storing him in a cool, dry odour-free location. Insert your own Luton Town jokes.

He certainly left Luton freyed round the edges.

My family motto - Omnes Blotto.

Ever since he joined I got it into my head that he's one half of 90s pop duo Right Said Frey.

You're not implying he's too sexy for our shirt, are you?

Indeed, he explained after the away win at Luton. The second instalment of a marvellous treble.

It's this sort of childish nonsese that gives fans a bad name as being inappropriate, sexist and generally not respecting the privacy of others.

Oh go on then here it is ...

His nan will be furious when she see what he did to her curtains.

For those wondering, the tranlatiom is taking the piss and is saying ‘some footballers get tattoos to remember where they come from, some footballers get tattoos for the birth of their child, and then there is Michi Frey who gets a tattoo to remember his name’.

Great find! Not showing this to my missus though. She’ll want to replace the paper bag with a Michi Frey mask.

Definitely not the ‘hair’

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

But the tatoo isn’t done in reverse so he can read it in the mirror. It’s to tell every other bastard who he is.

He’s clearly nuts but I love him for it.

And there is a genuine footballer in there. His touch and lay offs are very good (miles better than we’ve had for years), he won’t be bullied so the ball doesn’t come back quickly, he reads the game very well, and he has some composure in front of goal which has been critically missing for years. 6 from 16 this season so far.

Yeah, all that. Plus he has the turning circle of an oil tanker. Top lad.
