For the second home game in succession we've played a team who have been markedly bigger than us, who thought they could kick us off the ball, but who we have stood up to and fought our corner against. So well done Marti and all the players (especially the smaller ones) for punching above your weight. Maybe if Paul Heckingbottom and Tom Cleverly spent less time training their players to kick out and then fall over then they might be a bit better at defending soft goals.

Frey is really key here. Big wanna be bullies like Porteous just bounce off him when they try it on.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

Which must have been an uplifting watch given some of the soft performances we’ve seen earlier in the season

True. I also thought Kolli went head to head with them very well and won good free kicks. Credit to the attacking players for giving us good as they got. Real courage through our team today.

Another team who spent a lot of the game throwing strops. Its nice seeing opposition teams have meltdowns at LR.

Yeah, Frey makes such a big difference to the team when he plays. Seriously physical, never going to get bullied, lays the law down on occasion and the best finisher at the club by some distance,

He’s not mobile, and he’s working back to full fitness, but the ball sticks allowing us to get out, and at the very least he makes it very hard for oppo defenders to send the ball back for the oppo to attack again.

Makes a huge difference to our overall performances.

Luton up next. Hopefully he can give their centre halves another mauling.

I didn't think they looked a very well turned out team. Looked like one of the moody ex prem teams, maybe a bit like us under redknapp, who think they are better tgan they are. Lots of continual moaning and bitching. Made it all the more enjoyable

The strops we are seeing from opposing teams at LR are very much down to how we play and how we are set . We completely frustrated Watford today with our Press and closing down . We gave them very little chance to play as we did Norwich at home and Preston .
Huge credit to the players and the coaching staff because we look very hard to play through at home

That’s it making the ball stick up top massively takes the pressure off

They were very Niggly and shithousey.
If they concentrated on playing football they might have had a better outcome.
It’s the young coach thing now . Get your players to cheat and then cheat some more.
Depressing but they’re all at it .

On the 87th minute their left back felt he was fouled and was sat on the floor remonstrating with the lino for almost a minute.

Mate, you're 3-1 down and there's 3 minutes left. Get up.

Was that when crowd cranked up a chorus of, 'Cry in a minute'.

Absolute nonsense, all game. Massive defenders fouling Frey all first half but going down screaming whenever touched. The number 3 tried to buy a penalty in the first half and you'd have thought the Stanley Bowles patrons were at Live At The Apollo, such was the guffawing. The keeper - useless and gave Fox a slap after the second goal, which he was booked for. 39 came on and spent his entire period on the pitch arguing about throw-ins.

Like Norwich before them, horrible team, horrible attitude, got what they deserved.

In two minds about the ref - pulled them up on all of their fouling at attacking set pieces, but let a lot go, and got a lot wrong.

It’s very unlike what I imagined Cleverley would build there and I watch them quite a bit. The goalkeeper gets pelters from the fanbase and is clearly not up to it. When Louza plays he adds some bollocks to their midfield but they’re sorely lacking in leadership. They’ve got two of the best attacking players in the league in Baah and Chakvetadze (did sod all today, mind) and then behind them you’ve got Sissoko strolling through the game, full-backs who find defending a bit beneath them and centre-halves slower than rust.

I fancied us as soon as it started raining to be honest and having brunch with a Watford mate we agreed it was a likely outcome when the teams were announced. Won a few quid to top off the day.

I honestly don't think I have ever seen a season with so much shirt pulling. It's like an epidemic. 90 pc of it going unpunished, even in the area.

It's being so happy that keeps me going.
