So Madsen is somewhere between the worst player we've ever signed and the new Glenn Hoddle. I think that covers pretty much all bases. Great job everyone.

- absolutely.

Clive in producing yet another memorable matcch report and all that that in itself entails and yet fans picking up on player ratings suggesting they should have been a +1 or -1 difference.

Seriously, do some of you still not realise just how good we've got it with Clive?

I'd give him an 8 out of 10. And will fight anyone rating him a 7

Shit but local

I agree on Madsen he is improving, nice and tidy on the ball, starting to get things moving forward. Think if we take a step back he was thrown straight into the team without any pre-season with QPR joined on the Friday I think then straight into the Plymouth game and we know that the Championship is a tough league. Not prepared to write him off just yet.

Madsen had the highest pass completion rate of any of our starting 11 again, with 88.2%.

One of the points that I've made a few times. Nardi has settled quickest and performed best, but he was the most experienced, and he was signed first so has spent the most time with the team/coaching staff.

Just for once I'd like the close season to involve supplementing a basically functioning side, rather than finding that all of last season's successes are injured, gone into terminal decline, or been sold/gone back to their parent club.

Please please please don't let the season end with us all thinking Celar, Varane, Dembele, Saito, Madsen and Nardi have all finally settled and then come August its all offed up again.

Absolutely Love the Everything but the goal headline.
Hopefully the Frankie thread is permeating your musical choices

A few missed chances but a decent draw...proper progress.

Weirdly I was at a day rave at E1 on Saturday and found out the score just as the DJ put on a naughty trance mix of Missing You (EBTG) and the place proper went off

But seriously, thanks for all the reports etc. PLUR
So hope we will be OK, I can't can't countenance 3rd division football again fck that

Back to the music this will always be my favourite tune of theirs .......plus at that time QPR were proper good and there was future and hope lol

One day, after a particularly sh*te result, I will finally get the courage to read the Match Report and there will just be this:

If I remember correctly the analysis piece on Madsen, at the time of his signing, said that he passes, intercepts and takes dead ball kicks. He doesn't really do headers or tackling.

If you are watching him closely you will maybe agree, we've got 'what it said on the tin'

Is it enough for the Championship? It may be if he continues to do more of what he is good at as well as attempt the occasional header and tackle.

Problem areas imho, are his lack of an 'engine' in getting up and down the pitch and a lack of concentration and confidence. That miss on Saturday would have been acceptable if he had sorted his feet out and got it on target with his stronger right, but a lack of attention probably made him choose the wrong option and have a wild attempt with his swinger.

I think the advanced midfield role, plays to his strengths and will build his confidence. It could work out ok for us.
