People complain about the £1.50 booking fee from Saints, but just look at what our friends down the road charge for away tickets
Booking Fee
There will be a £3 booking fee (per booking) for any match tickets purchased over the phone or in person. There is no booking fee for tickets purchased online or for supporters purchasing disabled tickets.
There is a £2.50 postage fee for any match tickets that need to be sent out. |  | | |  |

I hate the profiteering from these charges and it’s something us fans should be lobbying the club about. I’ve got the figures somewhere in bank charges and ticket supplier charge and will hook it out. From recall it shouldn’t be anymore than 50p per ticket for a card transaction for eg

It’s a VAT ruse.
The booking fee is exempt from VAT, so the club keep it all, whereas the ticket price is subject to 20% VAT.
Pomps are being quite cute in keeping more of their income away from the taxman.

Agree on the tax avoidance, but i think like everyone running a ticket office, the manager is wetting themselves over making their financial graphs look good and theyu can then wax lyrical on their hardon linkedin page. Our's came from west ham stadium and they look at all ways to shaft fans for more money. [Post edited 28 Jul 18:33]

Just out of interest, what is our capacity this season.
We had a number of so-called sell outs last year but never hit 31k.
So with block 1 now available should we be getting nearer the 32k mark.

Suspect the figures were messed up last year due to the club having to take drastic measures in shutting down Blocks 1 & 2 (due to the levels of mass disorder and number of ice cream fights taking place)
Don’t know how much capacity is lost for the home / away fan segregation meshing…. [Post edited 2 Aug 10:39]

The club usually declare a sell out when all the available home seats have been sold.
But the away club may not sell out their allocation, but we cant sell any of those tickets |  |
