I don't know how many will brave their souls but I can't believe that people don't have them. Music makes me emotional, even Battle Without Honor Or Humanity will make me well up before kick off at times. Ones that will guarantee it for are...
and...
The grass is always greener.

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the Earth all one's lifetime." (Mark Twain)

“Mother cries to her husband Daddy, our baby’s gone”
Gets me every time. I tried to play it for a bit of a joke when my daughter went to University but I had to turn it off before those two lines came along.

Oh God, used to sing the first verse of that to my son as a lullaby when he was tiny (as he loved dragons.)
Never knew how it ended or what it was really about until we saw a picture book of the thing, which we bought for him. Great excitement as he was allowed to have it as his bed-time read, followed by collapse when he got to the bit where Jackie whatsis grows up and never plays with the dragon again
Hard to imagine now he's a gert bearded lump but there you go, that's parenthood for you.

Reminds me of an ex who couldn’t conquer her demons and ended up checking out of this life way too early. I had to leave her as she caused me so much trouble but still remember the call I got that she had gone. A beautiful woman but a troubled soul.

This is an emotional performance on so many levels for me: it’s a beautiful song (love the Carpenters version as well) and two out of these three legends have now passed. When Ray Charles sings his part it always affects me: there are tears in Willie Nelson’s eyes as he watches him. Makes me think about the passing of time and the people we have loved and lost, my lovely Dad in particular.

"a diseased bunch of mofos if there ever was one, their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons."

Remember reading about this song and Randy said it was about being too old to get over losing someone as your own time left was too short.
