What do you call long term. We are coming up to year 8 and the last 12 months they have pumped more money in than any time since the purchase, with an asset now worth half the value of when they bought it.

Well the last owners built value and sold at the best time after 14 years. They kept SCFC in the PL for a 7 seasons. The current ideal textbook team Brentford still have some way to go and cracks are starting to appear. They did a trick Huw could not manage and retained their manager. This must be better.

PL clubs must now be worth well north of £200m. The big winners would be the late comers like Silverstein Coleman and Morris. Coleman hold his own destiny in his hands.

All ifs and buts. The facts are we are losing a fortune every season and are much closer to league one than the Premier league. The cupboard is virtually bare with no big assets to sell so we are looking at the kids. We also have expensive buys not delivering and need to offload and until then we are paying wages we can't afford. Yes we have excellent business people running our club, in fact we are in a hell of a mess.

I believe the owners have a plan. If the team is around the top 6 to 8 they might hit it hard in January for an extra shove. They have friends with deep pockets from the DC days and others. Hopefully they are engaged and ready to strike if Swansea were in the Ipswich scenario.

Investors would se the chances of a pay day drop from 15 to 1 to 3 to 1. Next season 4th but struggling to keep up. Spend the cash Piroe on loan and another Ronald signing. It is not on the club interest to tell people what resources they have and what billionaires are in toe. I take them on trust. It is the Welsh passenger owner I do not trust. They acted without logic.

Not mine or the interested parties have deep pockets when it comes to the continued bailing out of the club. Unless this ‘plan’ (and there is one and it’s a long term strategy, not a plan as such) that you mention comes to fruition this summer it’s going to be flying by the seat of our pants. Even fag packet arithmetic tells you that. Trust me.

I don't think you need me to tell you that you are wasting your time Keith and losing skin off your finger tips its plain for all to see.

I said a week or so ok, that they just can't keep pouring in millions every couple of months or so, common sense [well those that have some of course] well tell you that there has to be an end point.

Kaplan has obviously got serious wealth, but he won't spend it on SCFC, him and Levien fly by the seat of their pants it seems to me, I'm not sure what wealth Levien has got and nor do I care to be honest, seems to me that he uses monies to spend by the shares others buy to fund things through the LLC clever stuff yes, but there comes a point has to when the conveyor money belt has to stop at some point

Up early for a spot of sea fishing.

And to add the Trust sorted this and the last forum it wasn’t a club initiiative.

The LLC is an important part of the clubs structure in the UK.

Nobody is going overboard with it, it’s a simple question that they refuse to answer. If you’re happy with that type of transparency then so be it. Can you advise me of the transfer of money from the LLC to the club ? Is this the vehicle that pays certain salaries ? We won’t known until next July, 2025. And tbh I doubt we will know then either. I’m pretty certain you don’t know either. That’s my only ever question to the club, and this website.

You are not talking to the right people. And although you are satisfied with the current picture, I can assure you not everyone is. Nobody is not supporting Swansea City, nobody really cares in the main about what anyone within the clubs structure says. Many have seen it and heard it before. If you do the maths then you will see a club that has to sell to survive and remain working within the standards set for sustainability. That’s a maximum loss of 30 million over three years without going deep in to it. If the club is so say losing 2 million a month it doesn’t take a genius to see some big red flags ahead. It’s isn’t all roses and nobody is playing an us and them game, bar a few. And to insinuate that is very much incorrect. The Swans have to find new ways of raising funds and finance or the alleged gaps being plugged bi monthly (from the LLC I believe and fair pay to them) That won’t last forever. New ways of raising finance in needed quickly or I’m pretty certain the club will be on a precipice.

Yes there is money for the summer but it has to be offset against other commitments and sustainability issues. I’ve been saying it for months, it all feels a bit like, oh shit, we are in trouble, how did this happen ?

I am more than happy that the club has who they have within their employ, and yes there is nobody else. My view is at least they are trying, although this season must not be repeated. You talk about a united Swansea, but unfortunately your post goes well against any form of unification with those comments.

This isn’t a point scoring situation, the very future of the club will be at stake. Again ! If they don’t pull some rabbits out of the hat or get bailed out with this premier league money that is allegedly going to be agreed this summer. Either way, nobody should be off their guard, that’s pure stupidity.

I think a lot of clubs are starting to realise this hence Birmingham city acquiring the Wheels park in Smallheath 100 odd acres apparently . This will give them the acreage to build a new stadium , hotel , a gym , a spa . casino ( may not get permission for this due to local demographic) fast food outlets , car park and whatever else they are going to do. Their American owners realise the old stadium was hamstrung by its size and the lack of access due to surrounding housing , Couple this with the HS2 station at Curzon street being a short walk away - this will potentially make a future London fixture a 50 minute journey so will definitely increase ticket sales on a home and away basis . The problem they have is staying in the championship if they don't it could be along time before they are back up and aiming higher for the prem.

You again prove you do not understand inflation. Inflation mean prices going up . Almost every every thing in life increases in value. From a pint of milk to football clubs.

Abramovich at Chelsea lost millions every month for years spending silly money on duds sometimes but still come out of Chelsea with a notional paper profit. I never thought he would get his money back but he did. (Subject to sanction rules)

Swansea under HJ hardly ever made profits. All spare cash were pumped into the business. Anyone with sense would understand selling shares was the only way to see profit. Some sSwansea owners recognised this. Some did not and lost.

Its not you business to tell anyone what they do or don't understand and you are the last person to comment on someone's understanding of anything, you understand nothing even when its explained to you in fine detail.

I do not bad mouth individual posters. I gave an explanation on how the US investors came make money. This is by selling on the optimum time keeping losses down and relying on inflation on the value of Premier league football clubs which exceeds normal inflation. I gave Abramovich as an example. He bought Chelsea for £140 million and sold for £2.5. billion. He pumped in big sums every season and still got his money back with an healthy profit.

Apologies for the delay & I can't remember all that was said but it was a good evening in a packed venue.

Under 21 coach Gavin Levey

He explained, how fragmented the club had become when he joined & how excited he was to take on the role. Squads are way too big & they will be cutting this down as you cannot keep big squads happy. Additionally, there has been culling & only the right people for roles will be employed by SCFC moving forward.

The aim is to get back to producing international standard players as has been the case in the past he mentioned the likes of Ben Davies, Rodon, Dan James.

Players should be developed into 1st team players as was the case previously

Done a very good job at Aberdeen which he gave examples of.

Luke Williams

Has enjoyed his time back at Swansea & there was lots of data shown about Swansea being in the top 4 in various areas of football like winning the ball back, and goalscoring opportunities created & prevented.

Is looking for a more fluid style of football with interchanging wide players & full backs.

Quality loans will be looked at but only those who improve the 1st team

Andy Colman

(I didn’t catch it all & couldn’t ask the questions that Keith asked me)

He is pumping money into the club

There is no tie-up with DC United (which he seemed to backtrack on when somebody said it could be beneficial)

The club has to look at new ways to make revenue whether this is by new broadcasting rights, food & drink, or other opportunities

He has been appointed to the EFL to look at ways of creating new revenue (apparently he has done a great job at the Swans.

Luke Williams will have all he requires earlier than managers have had it previous seasons & we will be ready to go on day 1 of the season.

Additional questions

ST prices especially for youngsters the Basseys are very cheap & once they start going there they wont swap > Colman said ours are amongst the cheapest in the league.

Somebody asked about statues for former players in the memorial area > No real answer given as was the same for stands being named after former players.

Kev Johns was excellent throughout there was some bloke there from the trust who I think was being given a hard time when I was leaving.

Thank you for the excellent update.

Good news that the chairman is growing revenues for the club. It sounds like we are moving in a better direction.

No problem.

Personally I thought he was a bit of a cock.

Didn’t believe much he said but I’ll stand corrected if ‘Williams has the tools he requires to be ready on day 1 of the season’.

If Coleman is now working for the EFL as well - how many hours a week is this taking up? Maybe that time could be spent more on the Swans and driving further revenues?

I'm not sure he is working for them, I thought he was looking in to other clubs ways of furthering revenue. Could be wrong, but the club would be shouting that from the rooftops had he been appointed to the EFL.

He may be assisting in the negotiations in sub form of sub group.. The EFL is negotiating to get a bigger share of the EPL cake. This is a big hope for better revenues.

The easiest way for the club to increase revenues is for the Premier league to shovel many more millions to the Football league in a settlement.

Perhaps Mr Gude is friendly with the Labour party folk in the UK and speak to them to put the squeeze on the EPL to be more generous "or else".

Mr Gude worked in political Democratic party circles I recall reading. All the Premier league clubs excluding Ipswich and Newcastle are in the urban chain between London and Liverpool Manchester.
