Brentford are just four points ahead of Everton who are bottom three (albeit with a game in hand). In fact, without the Everton points deduction it just be three ahead of Luton who are arguably in better form than Brentford.
I don't think they'll go down but it's definitely a possibility. Toney might be the difference there if he can keep out of trouble.
I think I'd be happy enough with Everton taking that last relegation place (Burnley and Sheff Utd are toast) but Brentford would be pretty good too. Apart from the fact that they'll bum us in the gob twice if they come down and we somehow stay up. |  |

We were herded from the stadium to station last season (or season before?) at Luton.
I find it all a bit performative nowadays.

I have never been bothered by either Brentford or Fulham. Any rivalry feels a bit forced.

And I'm older than you Brian & have no problem with Luton! Pobably because I didn't get to go to many games in the 80's & 90's. Prior to David Evans(?) becoming the owner of Luton, the clubs & supporters appeared to get on well, with a mutual loathing of Watford.
I am aware though, that events in those decades changed that for regulars of both clubs.

I wouldn’t want to live next door to them, but I don’t mind Millwall, they add a bit of spice to our season. Feel a bit sorry for the lot that can’t get a mention here, Reading. It was at St Pancras station when we had our little platform dance with Luton. This is after they got into the Ellerslie Road stand during the home game.
Luton away in the FA Cup was full on and my hatred of them remains to this day. Shithole town with scummy fans |

We were on the coach that didn't get the windows put through but we could see yours get done and there were also a couple of people being tended to by the roadside who had been stabbed or slashed.
A nasty night, one of my mates who went by train said it was like a casualty ward on the way back but also said it was 50/50. | |

Absolute carnage that night.
Word went around the away end as game progressed and you saw more people who'd obviously been done. By the time the match finished people you'd probably describe as "scarfers" now where seething. That was a proper mob of Rangers afterwards and herd mentality really kicked in.... the OB were fair panicked by it all.
Therein was born pure hatred for Lootown scum for a generation of fans which has clearly been handed down.
Back to Bentford.

Then it was the "Toon, Toon... barmy army" as "Bees Bees .. barmy army" alongside nicking Arsenal's chant on Arteta.
Shouldn't wind me up but it does living a stones throw from their ground and all that.
Bentford will not go down though. If they replace Toney well I'm not sure they will in the future either |  |

Back in the 90s we definitely had no plastic fans, though in the 80s we had the pitch.
Weirdly at QPR, the worse we get the more fans turn up. We are clearly a masochist bunch.
I remember going to early 90s PL games, and we would have crowds between 8k (Wimbledon) to sellouts (Chelsea, Manure etc). Mostly we would average 15k I reckon. After Euro 96 crowds across football increased. | | | |
