Very sad news, RIP. I loved that "Silver lady," silly old sod that I am.
When I was living in France on my year abroad, I used to watch Starsky and Hutch dubbed into French to improve my listening skills. That and Magnum PI
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
Oh no David Soul has gone - Starsky & Hutch back to 1976 a fantastic cop show in its day, also was on when started to go to the Rangers with my dad as a 12 year old in the great 1975/76 season.
Christmas of '75 was just around the corner, I was a fresh faced 19 year old with a 17 year old girlfriend, we started dating in early summer. So I was expected to get her something nice for Christmas, she kept going on about bloody Starsky' s Nikes. Blue with three white stripes, had to have three white stripes, or they weren't Starsky's Nike's. They would really look nice on me, etc. etc. We never made it together to Christmas, probably got fed up with her going on about Starsky, I don't really remember. Her parents had money so I hope to god they got her the Nikes. My lasting memory of Starsky & Hutch, quite enjoyed the show really. RIP Hutch, God's speed.
