For a practising Christian, I think a move to Saudi would be most unsuitable. They don't allow any religions to be practised, other that Islam.

Eze stalling on a new contract on 22:02 - Jul 28 with 6511 views | QPRConor2000 | Palace must surely cash in now. Ive seen hes been linked with Man Utd, Liverpool, Newcastle and Chelsea. I recon hes worth at least 60m/70m+ in the current market, possibly more if there is a bidding war, which is very possible. I think losing Zaha for free is only going to put them under more pressure to make a sale.

Liverpool and Chelsea are set in midfield I suspect so I would bank on Newcastle making the move .United are focused on a striker but he would be a great fit there too IMO. Once again I repeat myself but if that wildly overrated and over priced Declan Rice is worth 100 million plus then Eze in that price range too .

Spoke with a couple of Palace fans today, they think he'll be gone in January, and they'll be relegated by March. Fingers crossed. 🤞

I think United are the ones who are in the driving seat atm. They do need someone in that area, but would they be willing to splash out 60m/70m+? thats the question. Arsenal are another name that has been mentioned, it does potentially make it tempting for Eze as it he is an Arsenal fan as well. I think the chances of him going this summer are pretty high now.
Eze stalling on a new contract on 23:55 - Jul 28 with 6154 views | numptydumpty | He is going nowhere. Zaha gone. He could be the main man there this season. Not done enough as yet for a top four club to fork out dosh as yet. A stellar season or half season then maybe, but Palace selling him now, makes no sense for them. [Post edited 28 Jul 2023 23:56]

Given the choice (which he may not be) I think he'll want to stay in London, he's made those kind of comments before and he's heavily invested in his community, which could make Arsenal a good fit. The alternative to the West doesn't bear thinking about.

Yes, but as the only team to have gone into Administration TWICE and not dropped a division as a direct result of either time, they are the team who fall into a bucket of s**t and come up smelling of Roses, whereas we are the team who fall into a bucket of t*ts and come out sucking our thumbs. Their fans are ALWAYS pessimistic, but they have survived their 10 seasons in the Prem by the odd shock victory over one of the big 6. They'll be ok and even if they aren't, coming down with a £100m budget (as opposed to our budget of f**k all) should see them right to bounce back up... [Post edited 29 Jul 2023 6:52]

That’s transfer idiocy though. United have spent too many years buying players at their peak, and therefore over paying, when they should be buying a year or two before their value goes crazy. Fergie was very good at that. Time to strike with Ebs is now.

I'm still laughing at the deals they made for Maguire, Pogba, Sancho and throw Sanchez in there too. Absolute madness.

Maddison is more experienced and was bought by a top six club. [Post edited 29 Jul 2023 9:41]

Fergie is not there now though. 🙂 I agree with you that buying players at their peak is mad but just saying for Palace if they can hold onto Eze this season and he does brilliantly, then it would be the most sensible option for them.

Eze stalling on a new contract on 10:06 - Jul 29 with 5351 views | Lanhoop | Financially the better scenario is that he stays where he is for another year, does well, plays in the Euro's and is then sold next summer for a bigger number than would be the case now.

In that scenario we'd want him to have signed an extension now so he's not in the last year of his contract. I think whatever his market value Palace will hold out for that + whatever they need to give us as sell on which will make it harder for him to move.
