State Of Origin 2023 10:22 - May 31 with 9773 views | Discodroids | Game One. 11am. This is the only Sporting event remaining that evokes the same level of solar plexus Glow of excitement in me, as the FA Cup final once did as a kid back back in the late 70's and 80's when it was on both chanels from 12-5, with Freddie Starr parading the Wembley turf as Albert Speer in Pat Coombs winceyette bloomers. Hoping for a NSW Win and looking to see how Canberra Raider Hudson Young goes today. State of Origin... 'I love this Game Moonpie!' [Post edited 31 May 2023 10:25]

Allan Border was right…”Yeah well that’s OK mate, if you want to go off now we’ll get someone out here tough, we’ll get a Queenslander out here”. Fitter is a dreadful coach, the Blues have the players but he doesn’t know how to use them.

State Of Origin 2023 on 12:01 - May 31 with 6864 views | ozranger | Typical Origin scoreline. Not sure it's a typical Origin game though. Reds going to be suffering with one man less. They'll be tired come late in the second. Can the Blues get in again. Thought the challenge was going to be upheld at the end there as it really looked like the ball changed direction as it came down.

Maroons. Well, what a good game at the end but NSW were poor. Their two tries came from firstly a disorganised defensive line and secondly, a silly error. Other than that, they did not get themselves enough attacking positions. Some last ditch tackles in the first half against them was all that kept Qld in it and they should have taken advantage but could not and that was that. Big problems for the NSW defensive coaches to solve as well. The sin bin was a joke. It was not even a penalty from what I saw. A head clash at best. Better team won. Three weeks and it should be sewn up at Suncorp.

Fittler hasn't a clue, if he wasn’t a Channel 9 old boy he’d be long gone. Only picking one hooker, picking a full back at centre and starving Addo Carr of any ball. Munster and Cherry-Evans just better at winning in adversity compared to Cleary and particularly Luai.

One of the best bits of Origin is usually it's refereed more in the old style, sadly that one was a much more modern refereeing performance with a lot of whistle, a lot of technicalities, a lot of bunker inteference, and the now standard bull sht sin binning for 'head contact'.

I do find some of his selections, and the way they play for the players they've got on the pitch, very odd.
State Of Origin 2023 on 15:07 - May 31 with 6596 views | ozranger | Still disagree that Cotter should have been MoM. He was good late in the game but not so in the first half when he came on. The first try came about because Cotter was out of position, behind his defence as if he was a half-back and allowing for an overload on Qld's defensive right. He was also the one who let the ball go through his legs for the second NSW try. If anyone, Taulagi should have got MoM instead given what he did in the first half with two unbelievable try saving efforts or the "hammer" for his two tries, the second a piece of individual brilliance and a turning point in the game. To me, it was a full team effort and the team deserved MoM. Also, good to see Alfie out there with the team as runner. He hasn't aged a bit and must be into his 50s by now.

Couldn't see the point of Picking 80 minute 2nd rower Hudson Young and giving him a paltry 20 minutes , incredibly 10 minutes less than the 30 the lumbering prop Pangai Junior got. Young Probably Dismissed now into the origin dust much like fittler did with Cody Walker, All the while keeping yeo on for yet another 80 minutes who looks about as penetrative at origin level as a leather lace up condom on a Bendover Porno shoot. Bad decicsions on the Frizell ' no try' and the 10 minutes sin bin for Flegler. I watch half a dozen NRL games a week and whenever a try goes up to the bunker, it seems to me that they move heaven and earth to look for for a scintilla of doubt to disallow it. for me , the momentum meant the ball touched the grass. Even Cam Smith was convinced it was a try. for what its worth, i.e fu ck all, heres my 17 NSW for Brisbane. Tommy Turbo looks like he is going to miss it with a head knock. Shadow of his former self tonight anyway. 1. Edwards 2. To’o 3. Latrell 4. Staggs/Crichton 5. Campbell-Graham 6. Cleary 7. Hynes 8. Paulo 9. Cook 10. Haas 11. Martin 12. Young 13. Murray 14. Burton 15. Frizell 16. Campbell Gillard, if fit if not Daniel Saifiti or Klemmer 17. DeBelin Well done Queensland. Deserved. [Post edited 31 May 2023 15:49]

DeBelin...spicy! Don't rate him on or off the pitch myself. I'd rather give Ray Stone or Nathan Brown a game Why not Johnston on the wing and move Campbell Graham to centre?

My ten pound poms uncles & aunties reside in Brisbane, so I always take an interest in this BRUTUL match up. Sport at its finest unlike the shite we get served up in our PL.
State Of Origin 2023 on 03:52 - Jun 1 with 6339 views | BrisbaneR | Another great example of a team of champions being defeated by a champion team. There are some genuine stars in the Maroons side but I get the feeling that they just leave all that at the door and give all to be part of the ongoing legend. I'm not sure that attitude exists with the Blues. Even if it does with individual players, they do so in an environment that implies they are just better than their opposite numbers. QLD just seem to be able to produce performances that are more than the sum of their parts. Loving the post-mortems here this morning, always fun.

Didn't see the match but just some of the highlights. Raiders were lucky in this one and probably very happy to walk away from Campbelltown (North Canberra) wth the points. Two tries off the post! Given their point diff at present (-50), they need to win as much as they can when the opportunity exists. This should have been easy.
