Sutton United (a) Match Thread on 16:00 - Nov 19 with 6851 views | 49thseason | Desperate stuff, two poor teams, poor pitch, poor ref and linos, ifoller coverage is crap camerwise into the sun,. I haven't seen anything this poor since I last played on Lenny Barn 50 years ago. I hope Bentley has a cunning plan because this one isn't working... and will someone buy O'Donnell a cap?

although Bently in general has sorted out the defense & defending corners, that goal is a howler. They score direct from the corner without anyone going for it. Terrible game & yet again we are losing to a poor team. Oh to be poor but win !!

I think one of their commentators is drunk? Some of the nonsense he has been coming out with has been bizarre. The other commentator, the one who can’t pronounce any players name correctly, is clearly getting annoyed with him. It’s been embarrassing to listen to.

He has been Odoh, Odoa, Odaho, Odahoa, Oho at least. I suspect he may be dyslexic? Toumania got off lightly as his Christian name is easier to manage. Diagouraga, on his one and only effort, felt like an assault course.

Why wouldn't JB make any more changes and go for a goal much sooner, strange

Sadly, I'd say its because he knows that we are a very very poor squad.

Finished 1-0. Probably a marginal improvement in the second half, primarily because they were holding on to their lead rather than attacking. With Colchester & harrogate winning, we have dropped right back into the mire. 2 weeks now to get some serious training done, especially on attacking. Then a big 6 pointer at home to Harrogate
Sutton United (a) Match Thread on 17:14 - Nov 19 with 6067 views | NorthernDale | Come the end of January and the end of the transfer window, I can see some new faces coming in and some of the crap seeking new fields to explore. I will imagine Malley, Tulloch will be sent back (if possible) and others loan out. Many of us said in the summer, that both Rodney and Sinclair were poor signings, in that their scoring record is shocking at league level and Stockdale give both of them two year contracts. Our midfield is so weak, it picks itself, we need alternatives. Crucially we need to get a win next week and struggle through to January.

You can train as much as you like on attacking but its finishing thats the problem and we dont appear to have a quality finisher that is the problem . Hopefully we can shed some of the dross in jan and fech in a bit better quality.
Sutton United (a) Match Thread on 17:23 - Nov 19 with 5954 views | davidab2202 | Reckon EBJ Isn't the only one getting fed up of losing 1-0 Only scoring 13 goals in 19 League games is a problem that must be solved and soon or we really are in bigger trouble than current position which is bad enough

We’ve got the club’s highest ever scorer and Quigley who most agree will get goals (has one in two record for us). Didn’t see the game and we may well have missed chances but the issue previously has been consistently creating them and putting teams on under enough pressure.

Sutton United (a) Match Thread on 17:30 - Nov 19 with 5882 views | rich_dale | Familiarly dire. Poor game with the only difference being that Sutton managed to deliver a dangerous set piece that we couldn't defend. All our set piece deliveries are floaty with no whip and easy to clear. That's how many games are decided at this level and we're always on the wrong end of it.

“We don’t appear to have a quality finisher” We have the all time leading goal scorer of the club & Scott Quigley at the club. If we can find a way for those two to create some sort of partnership there is undoubted quality & goals there. The issues lay behind them for me. Ball is absolutely awful. Nowhere near the standard required. Rodney offers little, Odoh flatters to deceive and Sinclair looks good, occasionally. Can Brierley and Diagouraga play regularly in a midfield 2? Could Keohane drop into a midfield 3 and be replaced by Seriki at RB? Genuinely who are the two who should be plaging on the wing? There are certainly options that Bentley can try to see us through to January, however the next game is absolutely massive.
