I agree, the stats were decent, but the impact in games was intermittent. If you compare him with someone like Ball, you don't see that much difference. He's better than Ball, but by a lot? No.
And don't forget all those flights all over the world to then sit on the subs bench for Oz, to then return and need weeks to get back to normal. Field is better and younger and costs less. |  |

I wish him well, although obviously not against us. Apart from that period after he was in the sockeroos squad and never got off the bench, and his form really dipped, I thought he put a decent shift in for us. He did the unsexy parts of the game for us: closing people down, covering space, putting tackles in. He didn't ever seem to cause any trouble for us either and has had some rotten luck with injuries from the sound of it since he left us. Hope it goes well for you Mass. |  | | |
