I was in awe of Barrie when I used to see him catching the bus on Gwynedd Ave on match days. He would always stop and talk to us youngsters when we'd see him on the street. A real nice Townhill lad, who never forgot his roots.

Malcolm Allison broke the British transfer record when he paid the Swans £45K to sign him for Plymouth Argyle.
