If we carry on with our seasonal average so far we will achieve 62 points. It's a shame Robith's index was wiped out.

Those last two fixtures are anything but kind.

Brutal I'd call them.

The last three could be awkward if Luton can still stay up, Millwall could make play offs and West Brom could win the title.

However, if Luton down by then, Millwall out of play off picture and Albion already won the title then they might be good fixtures.

Ifs, buts and maybes for now.

If there is anyone on here who has stopped going for anything other than financial or family reasons then please get yourself to the KPFS for the last four home games. Fill the stadium, cheer them on from the kickoff, not wait until we go ahead, and keep on cheering them on throughout the game. We are watching a very special team this season and it would be nice to show our appreciation of that by rocking W12 again in their honour. We have been getting good support away from home and those of us that are able it would be great to do the same at home games. It has been a very long time since we have had 3/4 stars in the side at the same time and now the defence and midfield are starting to show their effectiveness it seems almost rude not to share in that. Perhaps even make the day out at The Hawthorns and spoil their promotion party.

The grass is always greener.

It’s doable with the matches coming up , take each game as it comes and see what happens .

I fancy beating Brentford at there last game at Griffin park to a late Ollie Watkins own goal
Then beating Fulham in the final myself

You missed 1 fixture - Wigan (A)

So the full list is:

Barnsley (h) 24th
Charlton (a) 22nd
Fulham (h) 3rd
Boro (a) 19th
Wigan (a) 20th
S Weds (h) 15th
Luton (a) 23rd
Millwall (h) 8th
WBA (a) 2nd

No fixture is kind in the championship. It's not impossible to snatch 6th but it would require a phenomenal run coupled with a number of teams above us slipping up. In addition, our negative goal difference doesn't help matters so we'd either need to be clear on points or dish out some tonkings in the final 9 games..

its not so much the points gap thats the problem but the number of teams between us and 6th place

it would take a pretty incredible set of results for us to make the play offs, im not sure 25/1 is that generous, but it will start getting interesting if we win the next 2 and preston, blackburn etc drop points

Yes. Millwall aside, we don't play any of those teams so can't affect their results.

To be honest, as long as we finish the season strongly I'll take it. If that's good enough then bonus, if not it'll have still been a decent season under the circumstances.

Have been checking our best run-ins since I've been a supporter. It may bring back a few memories for oldies like me.

1968 6W 1D 2L = 19pts
1971 6W 2D 2L = 20pts
1972 6W 3D 0L = 21pts
1973 7W 1D 1L = 22pts
1976 8W 0D 1L = 24pts
1984 6W 2D 1L = 20pts
1989 6W 1D 2L = 19pts
1997 6W 1D 2L = 19pts
2003 7W 1D 1L = 22pts

Subject to other teams peformances, I think a run of similar results would get us over the line and into the play-offs. They are capable of it when playing like yesterday. Let's hope.

Can,t see it myself . Superb going forward . Getting better at the back, with barbet making a huge difference.
Great thing about this group is they keep ripping monkeys off backs. Forest last year . A double over Preston this.
I've enjoyed this season so much. Great football, a welsh drubbing (11.2) but as to your main question . I think we've left it too late to mount a challenge.
One last point, warburton has been a great appointment.
Under him we never look like going down as opposed to McClaren and Ollie where those long losing runs put us under so much pressure!!

I'm not going near it, Boston.

Firstly, i don't think it's a great price as lots of other fixtures have to go our way. Secondly, and most importantly, I want to keep enjoying this season and the moment a bet goes down the enjoyment wanes. Don't want that to happen!

Bet365 are offering 50/1 for top 6 which is a bit more realistic..

100/1 for us to be to be promoted.

There is a reason for long odds !!!

Might put the price of a pint on it more in hope than expectation

Leeds 1/66 to be promoted, lets hope that one goes tits up again.

Taking a look back at recent final tables the team finishing 6th needs to have around 75 points. I know there's not a huge gap at the moment but we'd need at least another 20-25 points on what we've gained so far in 37 games from the final 9. It's not impossible but I think it's very unlikely.
If we're only 3-4 points away after Fulham then I'd start to get a little bit more excited!
