Trust Vote for Legal Action 20:13 - May 9 with 5924 viewsVetchfielder

Could I please give the Trust a heavy nudge to issue members with an update on progress and timescales ?
It's been a while.

Thanks

Sounds like a Brexit impasse, and this from a trust member.

The Aberdare flunky would have sorted all this by now as well as taken it to court and done all the legal verbals.

OK I've changed it.

It’s not an impasse, genuinely. The wheels just turn hugely slowly.

Thanks Phil.

If it's not legally sensitive, I'd like to know what you mean by the "legal process". Are we talking about agreeing appropriate legally robust text for the voting documents or agreeing the insurance cover or maybe something else?

If that's sensitive info that could affect the case then, fair enough I'll understand if you don't want to answer that, but it would be very nice to know what's going on behind the scenes if you can.

Bit of everything I think it is fair to say. The consultation process needs to be completely robust and that is involving endless calls /emails and cost

Its as frustrating for us as it is for you I think (although I would go as far as saying you are probably more frustrated as members)

Wouldn't we have already gone through these processes before the original vote 2 years ago?

Thanks for the update. “Going forward “ though, just a one liner from the Trust to the members occasionally would be welcomed. It can be along the lines of what’s been posted here, it doesn’t need to be more but no communication at all for long periods isn’t good.

PS Keep up the good work. Much appreciated.

That’s very vague.

There must be specific reasons holding up any progress.

I think you need to worry about nantes legal action for Cardiff's non payment of the transfer fee before you troll on our board.

Lawyers are notorious for dragging things out.

The only winner is them with their fees. They sometimes need more than a gentle nudge to get on with it.

At least Vincent Tan has the money to pay for the transfer if UEFA finds that Cardiff has to pay it

Not like a club that has a big black hole in their finances

You are probably right Phil on the level of frustration plus I feel, personal opinion having worked in the 'corporate' world for all of my career, that you get to a point where you have to take a view of time/money spent & either act or move on (piss or get off the pot if a blunter statement covers it!).

The longer it drags on the harder it will be to win in my eyes - I'd be setting start of next season as the back stop, if not in a place to progress to a vote let's move on.

At least they have another 3 years of the limitation period left

If they had another 10 years left. The result would be the same

It just won’t happen as probably you know already

Just go out and prove him wrong. You can understand why there is so much doubt about the Trust having the appetite or ability to win anything more than a game of ten pin bowling. And that's certainly not aimed at you personally but the organisation hasn't covered itself in glory has it. On the contrary it's shown its itself entirely unfit for purpose. I'd love it to see the Trust take this all the way and to be successful. To get what it deserves. Good luck.
