If so, then I presume it was a welcome for our new Rainbow Rangers team. If not, then a simple but admirable nod from the Football League to a huge part of their fanbase. Either way, I'm all for it.
When we know that suicide among our youth is now the main killer and we know that a significant portion of our suicides are young men and women afraid to discuss their sexuality, then this is a simple, humane and decent gesture.

It's not political. It's acknowledging a minority group that are still battling against discrimination and letting them know that they're welcome at football and in the community. I've no idea why this bothers people so much, it's not negatively affecting them in any way to see rainbow laces and corner flags but it might just make LGBT+ people feel more comfortable. It's not politics - it's about community and social inclusion.
It's taken over 40 years to improve racism in the game (still some way to go).
