Match thread: Oldham on 16:44 - Nov 18 by DaleFan7 | Another set piece. 2nd ball, every single one of our players stood still ball watching. Free shot on goal for them. We've not been in the game second half. Minus Henderson's dithering shot their keeper could have played in his wedding suit this half. |
Let see all the Keith hill lovers explain this poor defending ,poor tactics poor fcuking everything display. Seen more passion and organisation at a under 5 game It ok cause they where creaming themselves about beating Bromley last week

Wonder how long it's takes for someone to say Hill is our greatest manager we've had, and be carefull what you wished for. The Hill thinks he's better manager than he is,sooner he's fcuks off the better [Post edited 18 Nov 2017 17:00]

Match thread: Oldham on 17:01 - Nov 18 with 2984 views | Knowlesy | This season has been very disappointing. I have to admit that I was quite optimistic for our best ever season before it started but the signings, despite looking good on paper, have left a lot to be desired and the tactics and selections have been baffling at times. We all know that Keith's going nowhere, so it's pointless debating his position. We just have to hope that we have enough about us to keep our nose above water for this season and hope to rebuild in the summer.

Match thread: Oldham on 17:17 - Nov 18 with 2766 views | Shun | I think we were unlucky to lose that, especially by that scoreline which didn't represent the play. The second half until they scored we were much better than them. Kosi was terrible, Bunney much better. And that was probably Inman's worst display.

not at all. I think it in my eyes coz I thought it was him for both Very poor second half today and Oldham completely outplayed us. Still nothing up front and some poor concentration at the back. Still think there will be at least 4 teams worse than us come year end and hopefully we can perhaps get a loan or 2 in Jan to see us through the season. Bromley game becoming important now as losing will really see pressure on us yet winning could create some feel good factor especially if we get a plum tie

Are you sure? Only the most one eyed fan could come out with that. But for a mind fart back pass you never ever looked like scoring. Whereas we could have easily had 5 or 6. Good luck for the rest of the season. [Post edited 18 Nov 2017 17:25]

It is looking increasingly that way. Also worrying how much we have missed departing players and haven't yet found a good balanced side which can both defend and score as we have done previously.

Match thread: Oldham on 17:25 - Nov 18 with 2675 views | Barrowdale | Simply appalling. Inept spineless performance. No quality anywhere. Calvin wont ever score on the touchline. Inman disinterested. Finally i have run out of adjectives and expletives for Mcnulty. Wont shell out to watch them again. Slough could tear strips off us. So disappointing

So what if we are relegated? We'll get promoted again with Hilly - posting for him to 'fcuk off" is just pathetic and embarrassing on your part.

Explain why it's embarrassing ?? our displays, our tactics, our passing, our pressing, our defending, our attacking threat, our signings, our choices of subs is/are shocking do you agree ???? If agree tell we why Keith hill shouldn't fcuk off from our club

Match thread: Oldham on 17:35 - Nov 18 with 2587 views | 442Dale | Let's for one minute accept that yes, we are in a relegation fight at present. To treat it in any other way would be dismissive of what the situation current is. That said, thinking anyone other than the current management team would be a better option is not only wrong, it would be to the detriment of the club. However... There are MAJOR issues that Hill needs to address, some of which HE has total control over. We need a leader at the back and have for two years. Sort it in January. We need to work out a different way of playing, both in formation and in tempo. Rigidly sticking to a back four when we have the option to try three with wingbacks doesn't indicate we are willing to try something new. Similarly, the three forwards often sees a wideman go missing (Inman may as well not have been there today and I'm not sure there have been many more ineffectual subs as Gillam). And then within this there is the elephant in the room: Ian Henderson. Accommodating him in midfield when he's clearly not impacting a game is not helping anyone. Especially when we have proper midfielders at the club. Yes, he's done ok here recently, but that is because he's a decent footballer, but it isn't his position. If he's playing, stick him on the left where at least you'll get the workrate, as it is he's offering next to nothing. The passing and choices made today were poor, probably as bad as we've seen for a very long time, and the lack of inspiration was alarming. But that's just a football match, it's the longer term problems that need focusing on. That is totally on Keith Hill and he has to accept that both he and his players can do better. Until that happens then this fight we are in won't get any easier.

Yes, I don't post unless I'm sure. We spent far more time in your box in that second half than you did in ours. A poor display, nevertheless.
Match thread: Oldham on 17:41 - Nov 18 with 2512 views | CanadaDale | What is the point in even having slew in the squad if he’s never going to get near playing a league game. That second half was very poor all over the park for Dale and Oldham could/ should have scored 4 or 5. Andrew was completely wasted out wide like he was might as well not play him if your going to play him out there, same with done if you going to keep lumping it long. The defence is embarrassing to watch their lack of ability at centre half and being sh*t scared when put under pressure, which ends in them passing it all the way back to the keeper who lumps it forward. Two up front with some pace and let’s try and score some goals because we’re toothless at the minute.

People see games differently because other than them gifting us our goal and Henderson's weedy shot we created absolutely nothing. We were dire in the second half and wouldn't have scored if we played til Christmas. Kosi was poor but Bunney was no better. He was weak in a tackle and every ball he put in was straight down their keepers throat. There was absolutely nothing positive about that performance whatsoever. Oldham weren't a particularly good team but unlike us they can score goals and thoroughly deserved to win today.

After a terrible start and a not unsurprising display of utter ineptness by McNulty, we achieved parity and were taking the game to them second half when, once again, a long delay in play saw our rhythm disappear and Latics kill off the game - something Hendo should've done for us when we were on top Yes, 442 - the elephant in midfield, creating an imbalance which sees us largely outfought in this key area. But tbf, Ollie Rathbone has lost something this season (second season syndrome and he'll come good) but it leaves us dreadfully short Only when Bunney was brought on to make the most of the space on the left did we really turn up Disappointed with the outcome, and we need to win next week to ease the pressure
