| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

The Official Wales Versus Serbia World Cup Qualifying Match Thread on 22:17 - Nov 12 by jackrabbit | Yes Neil Taylor should have closed down their winger at the end but a) the winger was an extremely tricky customer, and b) Mitrovic should have not been allowed to boss Chester as easily as he did. Apart from that, I thought Taylor had a very good game (as did the Sky pundits). He saved a certain goal in the first half, and he passed and linked well. As the Swans only contribution to the National team, I think he did us proud. I cannot understand the vitriol he gets on here - he's not from Cardiff! |
He gets so much stick mainly as he acts like a spoilt child and has an ego that's immeasurably larger than his ability

Saunders was right after the game Wayne, sometimes it just comes down to luck. We hit the post and comes out , theirs goes in. No point in blaming Taylor or Chester as if you did you could say Bale should have scored. Lady Luck didn't shine on us last night.

That's probably your best ever post. Taylor is a league 1 standard fullback though.

Well said. Taylor made mistakes but so did all the Welsh players last night. Call me old fashioned but I always believe in standing by our own, and Neil Taylor is a Swan and does not deserve the disgraceful slagging he gets on here. With the departure of our Ash to scouser pastures, our sole contribution to our national team is Taylor, and we should support him. As Wales' only Premier League club, we should have a bigger influence on the Wales team - that we don't is somewhat shameful. I know we have bigger fish to fry at the moment and this argument might be totally irrelevant in 12 months time, but if by some miracle we do survive and move on to establish ourselves as a mid-table Premier League club, I would like us to become the natural home of any talented Welsh player wanting to play PL football. Perhaps not the Bales and Ramsey's of this world - we have to be realistic-, but certainly for the Allens and Vokes, and perhaps the Tom Lawrence's who are currently plying their trades in the PL and Championship at other clubs. In time, any aspiring young Welsh player would gravitate to Swansea City by default. That's my pipe-dream anyway, but let's survive first, and meanwhile let us celebrate the fact that we still do contribute to the national team.

Shouldn't come down to any club player butt, we were supporting Wales last night, Taylor might be the fall guy at your club at the moment (all clubs have them) but last night he was a Welsh player, club he plays for was irrelevant.

It's very relevant on here because this is a Swans messageboard and we're discussing one of our own representing Wales.

I agree with most points you make, however the way he conducted himself in the Chelsea game he should never kick a ball for us again, a view shared by many of my cockney chums up here. I wouldn't call it disgraceful, he gets a harder time than most I agree, but then again if he acts the billy big bollocks then he has to back it up. I did say earlier though - why did Hennessey wait for the ball to hit the post before moving?

Let me explain. Yes this thread is about Wales. But my particular posting extended that to discuss the Swans representative in the Wales team, one Neil Taylor. I went on to express the view that as Wales' premier club, the only one operating at the top level, we should have more input in terms of playing talent coming from our club to represent Wales. I said I considered it slightly shameful that we only contributed a single player and hoped that that would change in the future. You responded " Taylor was a Wales player last night not a Jack" or words to that effect. Point missed - ..............big time.

I agree both clubs should be contributing more but to a certain extent they have, its just some players have moved on to better clubs. But as i've explained, Taylor seems to be the fall guy for your club at the moment so came in for some stick, off you lot i might add, not from us. Anway with Wales u19's beating England the w/e the future looks bright. Not sure what the representation of both clubs were mind.

Both Swans and Cardiff had one player I the starting line up and each had 1 sub which came on. There was also two unused Swans subs.
