That's the West Ham I remember from the 70's early eighties a right bunch of oribble cockneys ,as someone said West Ham in 1980 was a nightmare I've never seen so many rude boys on the main stretch even the coppers were West Ham

You might have been one of those I saw getting arrested for nowt at a 1981 Division 1 game there - Robbie James had just scored, our fans were celebrating, and clear as day, right behind me, I heard a senior officer snarl to a couple of constables, "Right, get those two f***ers there" - and they did - just waded in and arrested two completely innocent celebrating Swansea fans. Unbelieveable!

Now they've scored, I wonder if MU think they can do a Swansea and win 1 - 4?

Robbie actually bust the ball with that shot! also it was over heard that a wall collapsed at the back of the stand and a senior officer was said to have shouted what is wrong with you lot every time you come here

Had a good crack with them (& Aberdare boys) in the blind beggar in Whitechapel before the game.

No problems with a tube full of them after game either.

Probably one of the most famous pubs in London.

Keep meaning to pay it a visit when I'm in London, but keep forgetting.

Famous, as I'm sure you know, as the place where Ronnie Kray shot some other gangster dead.

Sounds about right.

I can also remember that well-known nutter Hank (RIP) staggering around the terracing, drunk (what's new?) and goading the cockneys on the other side of the iron railing, big piss stain on the front of his trousers.

Man U got stuck in the Traffic on the way to Spurs a couple of weeks ago. Everyone knows London's traffic is awful. Time for a new driver.

Probably Levi Sta-Pist.

Segregated terraces but shared toilets. Bedlam that day.

Edit: Hank's dead? Anyone confirm?

The FA cup game there was frightening in 1980,well I thought it was anyway.
I went there twice in 1980,not for the faint hearted.

FA cup in 1980, there were bloody loads of them in “our” corner.
Not a nice place to be for a 14 year old.

Poll: Should the official match day thread include pictures?

Got to laugh at Van Ghoul, he was soo icy cool when he came to the PL, but now he's as stressed and jumping up and down when his team scores like everyone else. I smile every time I see it.

There are two layers of glass on that coach surely - the darker outside one and the clear inner one. Looks like outer layer was broken.

One didn't cross the line, the other was scored when fans had invaded the pitch. So morally, it was 2-2 and if they'd had penalties at that time, Germany would have rightly won. Plus the dodgy sending off of Rattin earlier in the tournament.

Basically Wet Spam / England cheated then...

Am not a 100% sure about Hank. Thought I'd heard a few years back he'd passed on. Amazed if he's still going - he could have given Keith Richards a run for his money!

Hope I've not put my foot in it.
